Correct but that was through the Portsmouth Mini Con site. That might have only been their copies. TMNT collection web page should have their own I would think. Maybe even a few get put up on Jetpack since they have yet to load them on their site.

Oh, right, that's what I meant - I just didn't say it very clearly... lol I meant it was probably just a small overall amount that the Con had for sale, as opposed to the other copies that will be available elsewhere.

Rich dropped a reply on Facebook to say he would be selling a limited amount in his site store.  So you’re definitely correct when it comes to his batch.  I haven’t heard anything about Jetpacks version.  Not to say they won’t sell it on their site. I just haven’t seen that said anywhere.

My view on it was the opposite, Heritage seemed to get a premium on the real top-tier books. My opinion changed when I sold my 9.6 there and it sold for $22K less than a book that hammered 2 weeks later at Comic Connect!

In looking back at 9.8's only, the price fluctuates at both sites. I can't see a clear advantage.

9.8s seem to be in the low $100k area no matter the site.  But the grades lower than that seem to vary depending on where they're being auctioned.  Heritage just doesn't seem like a good place to send a high grade TMNT #1 that isn't a 9.8.  Prices are down from the pandemic pump but Heritage prices seem to be dragging them even lower.

From my experience, Heritage has never been a good place to sell TMNT. Not sure why, but their outcomes always seem low.

Interesting.  I’ve never noticed before.  So maybe a good place to buy then even with the buyers premium.  I’ve been trying to sell my 9.2 to downgrade since I don’t need a copy that high.  But the last two 9.2s sold on Heritage have kind of tanked the price.

  4. So what’s the deal with Heritage?  I feel like their TMNT auctions have been going low and screwing up the FMV.  A 9.0 just sold on ComicConnect for $20k.  A 9.2 signature series finished at $16,800 on Heritage today and that includes the 20% premium.  What do you all think?

If it's not going to be a yellow label, then, what's the point at all?

I imagine they will give these yellow labels.  Possible with some kind of notation to distinguish whether it was a "witnessed" sig. vs an "authenticated" sig.

That's exactly what I was about to say.  If they're not yellow why bother?  I can't imagine a ton of people want another label color.

Yes, they are glass display cases. It's hard to see since the case is black and the knob is black, but what's cool is that in the front you pull the knob, and it levers up the front facing glass to slide whatever in. Hard to explain, easier to show. I'll try to remember to snap a pic of that.

This pic is a little older, but it does show the 2 cases side by side. And overall shows this side of my Sewer. I've got stuff wrapping around the room but these are the only 2 of these cases I have.

I love them because they fit 4 magazine or 5 regular CGCs without issue, so perfect for the first 4. Found them in a local shop and had to buy them. Added some lights and they were good to go

Thanks for the info.  That is exactly how I imagine displaying mine.  I'll have to keep my eyes out for that type of display.  I feel like I could ask you about your collection for hours!  :)  So much good stuff in one picture.

Hey guys! Haven't been around the boards of late (which I hope to change...) but just wanted to share this recent pickup. This is my 3rd #11 in 9.8 though the years, I'm thinking this one will finally stick. :)

Happen to be doing some rearranging of the wall art as well when this arrived so figured it was a great time to snap a pic of its with the cover art.

That looks awesome!  I'm very curious about your setup.  What do you have the #1-#4 books in?  Is that a glass desk/case of some sort?  I like the look of it and I've been trying to think of a better way to display my books.

  8. From a sellers point of view I wouldn't want to take on the responsibility of being the middle man.  There's too much that could go wrong that I would get blamed for.  It wouldn't be worth the bit of extra money to take on the liability.  I'd do it for a friend like others have said.  But couldn't take the risk with someone I don't know.
