No doubt. If CGC doesn't maim your book, they my get the label wrong, or have scratches on the case, or send you the wrong book entirely.

I had a Hulk 180/181 label swap (shown earlier in this thread). From an original walkthrough, it took 4 weeks to swap the labels back, however, I'm not sure if they even did that b/c now UPS has lost the package.

So @CGC Mike: Who do I contact at CGC, and how, to get them to open a UPS claim to so UPS can attempt to look for my missing comics?

Unlike comics that I have multiple dealer packs of some are high grade original owner and simply irreplaceable due to value and rarity and I can't risk those getting damaged

Just back from CGC this was one of my childhood copies and the second one I've submitted.  252 has special meaning to me. Back in the day my Mom read in the newspaper that ASM 252 was going to be big and it mentioned collectors were purchasing multiple copies for the future.

She asked if I had it, i said yes but only one copy due to funds. She then gave me $5 and said get more. Back then even $5 meant a lot to my Mom, she worked 2 jobs to keep us clothed and fed. I then went over to my LCS and purchased 3 more copies of 252 - as I recall they were 1.50 each by then which was more than double the original cost 2 weeks prior.. I do wish Mom was still here to see what happened with the book.

Please note this copy was pressed due to a very minor issue on the back, I'm reasonably sure it would have received a 9.8 anyhow, but wanted to make sure.

    Thanks Mom!

Found a copy of the exact article my Mom read, it's from Feb 2, 1984

Gosh what a big key to have investing foresight on. I’m holding onto all my copies. I feel they’re undervalued along with Secret Wars 8 and MT141. Black suit Spidey will hit the silver screen again!

Idk, is it?  40 boxes is a lot...the greater the volume the less the rate...I've seen comic shops offer less than 3 cents a book on a collection that definitely was drek.  I'm going to be bulking this stuff out in the 20-30 cent a piece range and it's not all drek, some decent stuff in there.

It is because majority selling or bulking out longboxes want around the $50/70/100+ range..

Haha well he should have no problem selling it after that heritage sale.. last one I saw sell publicly was about 2 years ago on eBay and it went for $5000.. I could probably send a line of buyers his way depending on price

Last time I saw him with it was around April/May.. I'm not sure if he still has it. I'd probably like to buy it the next time I see him lol.
