  1. Some very beautiful Tec's BZ. Keep them coming!! — Rick
  2. Yes. It's from the Heritage auction. I thought that I had also won the #98 and 106, but got beat out on the floor auction. I'm collecting mostly Golden Age books now, but I have a soft spot for Thor. Love the cover of that 153. And, you're right, Bob. There was some great stories during this time period. — Rick
  3. That's a very pretty #86, Rich! Here's a recent pickup and one of my favorite covers.
  4. Cool Planets! The #71 is one of my favorite covers. Anyone on the boards trying to put together a full run of Planets? That would be a fun collection to be sure.
  5. Beautiful cover. I love the perspective on that book.
  6. \ to be sure, it's a great cover under any analysis, but if dweeby wasn't in the boat that would be one of the greatest of all d.c. golden age covers outside 'tec and more fun. Yes, I agree. The scan doesn't do this cover justice. A beauty. I figure that the dooby is kinda small and doesn't take too much away from the cover. One of the few GL's that I like. And, what can you saw about that Shelly cover. One of my favorites.
  7. A couple of recent pick-ups. Two pretty dragon covers!
  8. If a true 9.0 it could easily sell for more than $3000, but feel Metro over grades on many of these books, but that is just my own observation from perusing their web site. They have serveral books I would like to own, but price and condition(or at least stated condition vs. the way the present in scan) have made me slow or not able to pull the trigger. I would prefer to buy a CGC book at that level, just to protect my arse! As per AtlasTales, it's by Al Gabriele. He also did issues # 30 and 31. Thanks for the info. It is still a very pretty book, just not sure it's a 9.0, but I do like that cover.
  9. I have a questions for you guys. I was looking at that pretty MMC #32 on Metro's site. Who is the cover artist? I don't think it's Schromburg, but who? Cool cover and a nice looking copy I thought. I'm kinda of scared to even call and ask what the price would be. Do you think it would go for over $3000? That's a book I don't see very often. VF/NM?
  10. Well, after all, it is just a Krajan Cave Eel that's about to attack them. Nothing to get to shocked over!!!!
  11. Latest pick-up from Heritage... I these 10 cent Tecs.
  12. Now that's a cover!!! Beautiful books. Gotta love those Timelys! More...
  13. Wow, what a stunning copy! Makes me want to start collection Subby! A truley amazing copy(even has white pages), very nice pick up! Thanks for posting! Thanks, guys! I knew that was the book I HAD to have when the auction came up for preview. I am thrilled to get this book. Here is my only other Subby (for now. } I've posted this before, but I think it needs a second look!
  14. Newest addition to my Timely collection, thanks to the latest Comiclink auction. Rick
  15. Great pick-ups, Scott. Now that the cherry is popped, there's no turning back on the Timelys, you know. First, you'll start selling off all your other books just to get the next Timely fix, and then who knows where that will lead. "Gotta buy just ONE more Timely!" BTW, nice Black Cat Mystery. Rick
  16. Absolutely stunning LB Cole cover!!!! That cover deserves at least two of these...
