  1. and, also a beautiful ASM 122!! Super looking book, Brian. Thanks for the quick delivery and dead-on grading.
  2. Fun = impossible? Fun = patience Beautiful cover, Adam. My favorite of the entire run!!!
  3. not the way you sling the moolah around, moneybags! nice book, Rick! Yeah, right. Well, it's no Cave Carson, but it will do. — Rick
  4. I picked up a nice RH #1 not too long ago, and it really got me excited about this series. I'm going to try and get all the Showcase issues and a few from the series. Souldn't take more than five to ten years to get those Showcase issues in nice grade, don't you think? — Rick
  5. Beautiful books Peter and Frederic!!! I've never seen that Cap 234 cover. Very nice, and Strange Tales 113 has always been one of my favorite Strange Tales covers. As for myself, I'm focusing on pre-1965 Marvels over the next year, so it comes as no surprise that I just picked this book up from the Comiclink auction. I've always liked this beautiful purple cover. Rick
  6. Great books, Frederic. I think you have my address already, so go ahead and pack that #103 up and I'll put it under my Christmas tree. Rick
  7. Hey, Frederic, I think that this is an upgrade from the copy I got from Harley (which I don't own anymore. It went in a deal for some of my Timelys). Rick
  8. Here are a few SA Marvels that I've picked up in the last couple of weeks. Not super high grades, but still quite nice...
  9. Here are a few recent purchases. I posted this one in the Silver Age forum, but it deserves to be seen again. Rip Hunter #1. This one's tough to find in high grade.
  10. Thanks. I wonder why there is no issue number on this book. If I remember correctly, there were a few DC books that didn't have the issue number on them. Is that right?
  11. Picked this book up today at a local con. Very tuff to find in high grade. White pages to boot!
  12. Arex, I'm thinking you might need to bring that Cap 113 to the show this weekend!
  13. There are some awesome books being posted here lately. Kinda makes me want to quit buying SA and just start picking up some sweet Timelys.
  14. I picked these two beauties up today. I just love these Timelys. Schomburg did some awesome covers.
  15. Finally, I just bought this book off of ebay the other night. Probably paid too much for it, but I've been looking for a nice copy of this book that I could afford. This is, again, one of my favorite SA covers. I don't have this book yet, so this is the scan from ebay. As I said earlier, a very good comic book week for me. I wish they could all be this good. I'd have a lot of nice comics, but I'd be dead broke.
  16. As I mentioned earlier, I visited my not-so-local comic books shop today, where I had these beauties wating for me. This is just an incredible copy of Human Torch #17. What a fantastic cover by Schomburg. There s just so much going on on this cover, I could sit and stare at it for hours. Also picked up this beautiful Timely. Another spectular cover by Schomburg. I love the concept of the giant Sub-Mariner in these books. Plus...
  17. I went out of town today to pick up a couple of books at my not-so-local comic book store. When I got back, these books had arrived in the mail from a dealer/friend of mine. Marvel Feature #1. This is a book that I just can't get enough of for some reason. I don't know if it's the colors or the great drawing of the Hulk. I own several copies of this book. Hopefully, I'll have enough self-control to stop buying this issue. Anyway, a great looking comic. This beautiful copy of Witching Hour #4 was also in the package. This has to be my favorite cover of that run, and one of my favorites of the entire DC Bronze Age horror books! This is a gorgeous copy with bone white pages. The last book in the package was one of my favorite covers of the TOS run. This is a very pretty issue. I've been trying to build up my TOS collection lately, and this will fit in nicely. Plus.....
  18. I've had a very good comic book week. I picked up this Daredevil #130 off ebay. This was just an impulse buy, but I liked the black cover, so I decided to go for it. A Western Penn copy to boot. Pardon the bad scan. Like alot of folks, my scanner doesn't do very well with slabbed books. Plus, I was eating potato chips as I was scanning these books, and later noticed that there were pc crumbs on the scanner bed. Also, picked up a beautiful copy of Fantastic Four #116. I've been looking for Bronze Age FFs lately. Not too hard to find in high grade, but I've been looking for copies that don't have any spine roll, which seemed common with a lot of 70s comics. This square bound book has a beautiful picture frame cover and a near perfect spine. Plus.......
  19. Great looking book, Mike! I love the "Giant Rocket Shell". You've got a nice collection going there. Are you pretty much just buying Golden Age nowadays? BTW, I picked up a couple of nice books today. I'll try and post them tonight or tomorrow. Man, there's nothing like a nice Timely!
  20. Wow. That's a great looking book. I was watching that one on ebay. The seller had some pretty nice books. That's the best of the bunch though. WHITE PAGES!!
  21. Here are two issues that I don't think have been posted yet. X-Men has had some terrific artists over the years!
