  1. Agree. I have seen numerous copies that are nicer 4.0 than this book, but seems cgc loves giving the 4.0 Are the pictures before or after the press?
  2. I have a 5.5 The crease blends in pretty decent but breaks color the entire way front and back cover. Rest of book is nicer but not by a lot.
  3. All right, I will keep you on the invite list. Maybe not for a retirement party though.
  4. Well its legit now. Hey comics had a nice 80 year run. Now even though collecting them is at a all time high and they dominate the box office and tv shows, they are going to die. It's over.
  5. It is still considered rebirth now? Interesting. I haven't paid much attention to new books but is this monster boy a new character? And there was can't remember her name roundhouse and female lobo. Redtool. Designer. Isn't another batman villain coming out soon. First issue or 2 of deathstroke might of had a new villain? And fan favorite batman who farts.
  6. Cgc. GPA instead of overstreet. Internet. Digital comics. Numerous tv shows and movies each year. Speculation. Changes. Not sure how significant.
  7. I have been buying comic books for 40 years and never lost $ on a book. Now from 2000 to 2012 they didn't go up much in price for sure. So from now to 25 years from now books should at least keep up with inflation if not continue to rise. Rule of 25 could produce great prices then. A lot of teen and 20s comic speculators out there. A lot of people paying unbelievable prices. 25 years is far out prediction wise. 10 years would be safer. Even then covid like disease throws a wrench into things. But let's say in this perfect world movie theaters can operate at max capacity. Super hero movies should remain popular for 10 more years or at least 6 and printed comics aren't going anywhere. After 10 years who knows. Baseball boxing horse racing used to be the 3 most popular sports. Every tv channel and movie studio made numerous westerns.
  8. Legion of Super Heroes #6 as another said. Gold lantern and monster boy. Just came out today.
  9. Sweet glad you do. I am a artist, sounds good to me. Maybe I will start signing my books. People will ask who is that. Oh he worked on the book.
  10. Never seen a graded one let alone submit one. Easy answer would be to say they are treated like date stamps. But reason date stamps are treated that way is because it was common practice. This isn't as common. But if it is on a fcbd book then it is. But would normally have stores name on it. So this in fact might still be uncommon there as well. Good click bait though. How many people are coming in here to get their complimentary copies.
  11. Well I might just treat myself to something with it. Doesn't always have to be an investment. Could go to home improvement, taxes, who knows. But investment wise would be stocks. Undervalued ones. I buy low and sell high on everything in life. Stocks for sure. But anything is better than bloated over speced on comics. Precious metals wouldn't be terrible. Undervalued comics, not a great investment but rather have undervalued ones with lots of growth potential. I am seriously considering investing in a startup, had success in the past so that is what I would do if you can find that right opportunity.
  12. Ultimate fallout 4 cgc 9.8 now a $900 book. $1,000 coming soon? Start the thread is ultimate fallout 4 the new walking dead 1 batman adventures 12
  13. The price is why I don't buy them from a local comic shop. You can still get them for $2.99 or less from the mega comic stores. Doesn't change the fact that unless it has a good 1st or becomes a hot cover you are losing $ on it. Like a new car, soon as you drive it off the lot. Can only store so many books. I am going to get back in the game. I haven't bought a new comic in years. All speculation books and maybe treat myself to a regular series or 2 that has good people working on it if that is still possible. Will share my spec advice with those interested haha
  14. Works on just about every thing. I remember selling wild dog and ragman when they were coming to arrow. Silver age biggest winners. Golden age little to no effect. It takes years just to have a chance at buying those books. And people don't part with their golden age books easily and aren't worried about making $ off of them. Af 15 ff1 5 48 hulk 181 any silver age key can be bought any day of the week. Golden age hard to replace.
  15. Over $200 all day doom. Sell it haha. And I dunno about shuiri or whoever. Unless she gets a costume that book is done. What happens in comics? If she becomes black panther in mcu then it will go up.
  16. The kids and grand kids of the people right now who are buying spawn and jim lee xmen and valiant. They people who are paying $50 because the hulk is yellow. If you build the drek he will come.
  17. I will only buy a new comic for speculation. Those things aren't worth $4. $4 I can buy a back issue that might turn into $40 Just said this in another thread. Besides the price there is draw the line at 2.99, taking writers and artist off the title, endless crossovers and event tie ends. Digital will flop. For books, music, movies it is great. I don't collect those things. Listing reasons I buy a comic, reading it isn't one of them. 1. Speculation. 2. Have it just to have it, maybe like the artwork or story or character. I want the physical copy. If I only wanted to read it I would but wouldn't pay to. Poor Brittney is going to have to settle for the smaller private jet.
  18. Buyer for sure. Look what covid did for back issue sales. Now multiply that. People need something to read. People who buy every Campbell or artgerm that comes out will have to buy their older work. Disney keeps rolling creating new fans.
  19. 0.5 Good try but I don't see a bunch of forum members flocking over to your lil channel so you can reach the 50 sub mark.
  20. Just moving on to better investments? That was my reason. I sold most my ff and x-MEN keys. They got a huge boost when disney bought them. Will they go up some more when announced to be in movie, sure, but not enough to justify holding onto them when there are so many better returns available. I sold most mine before covid. Couldn't imagine holding onto one now. Studios are just now able to do work. Are they going to work on fantastic four or x-MEN now? They don't even know how long it will be until theaters are able to open to full capacity. Then when that day comes they have a backlog of movies to release and film first. They are not going to spend 200 million with so many ?s. Fantastic four is unproven as well. They probably think all it needs is the marvel touch but they know 100% that their current mcu characters are winners. If I found a long box full if them tomorrow I would sell them as fast as I could.
