  1. Hi. I'm Manicalistic. Thanks to my borderline personality disorder, I've been new many times. I will do my best to razz all newcomers (shills), making sure they leave after 10 posts.
  2. Regardless, he's still the most popular, most successful, and dare I say, most important NY sports figure of the last 50 years. With that said, I understand your point and agree to some extent. And, that's coming from a lifelong Yankees fan. Dave Winfield was my hero and I endured hours of Mantle highlights as my dad reminisced on his childhood. Mantle was playing 50 years ago. Even Mattingly was a far better player. There's no doubt Jeter is a HoF player, I'll give him that. It's just that his game, while consistent, doesn't warrant the praise he gets. I can name 10 yanks that had more talent, just not as long a career for a variety of reasons. Players I'd pick before god Jeter. Mattingly (pre-injury) Mantle- I won't even waste words Rivera Munson (pre death) Reggie Ruth Gehrig Winfield DiMaggio Lefty You felt the need to specify the period of his career you'd consider? Yes.

  4. The most over-hyped, over paid, ridiculously and undeservingly deified, baseball player of all time. Like in comics, the Walking De.... I'd better stop. I see pitchforks.
  5. The most difficult ones to find will be the issue 4 of the 3D series with the number 2 printed on it instead of 4. The how to draw series #3 isn't easy. And #6 in the 3D set can be tough. Nothing impossible, but don't come up for sale too often.
  6. Anyone have a photo of the GI Joe 21 9.9? I want it as the lock screen on my phone.
  7. I don't recall this book ever reaching an actual sale of 2K, singles hitter.
  8. It went for more than $15k. -J. Looks like that CGC 10 copy sold for a bargain with the way prices have been for this book And another sign of impending armageddon... Boston Corbett may actually make money on his 9.9! Would the be the greatest "I told you so" ever on these boards? The economic Nostradamus.

  10. Boy, I'd be pretty upset if that's what I got back!!! Did they lose the rest? Did they give you a tracking number! I sure hope you find the rest of them! your the reason why this book isn't worth anything. Haha picture made me laugh, at one point I had about 30 copies thinking "this has to be worth a lot in 5-6 years" after it first came out. Just read this now.
  11. Ditto that! with nearly 1,000 more 9.8's on the census. why? The insane speculation bubble we're in now. This book is in a perpetual bubble that just keeps defying all logic. Everyone keeps saying its only a matter of time before it bursts, but it just keeps going. This has been happening for years. It could get worse/better, (depending on who has them and who doesn't) if the movie is actually good. *Thinking... Have there been movie titles that effected the comic in a negative standpoint? I hope it's a good movie. Not just because of the comic values, but in all honestly I really think this movie can be done bad *spoon* if the right people get involved. Showcase 22? Didn't ryan Reynolds ruin the prices for that book? I think they can be at an affordable price post movie. No? Maybe SC22. Other then that, I can't really think of any book that took a hit from a bad movie. At least not a big one. Maybe Asm 300 did after spiderman 3? I know some books just cool off quickly after the movies release.
  12. I've always wanted one of the 10.0's of this book. One of the better covers of the entire age.

  14. I still want to know if Boston Corbett bought the 10.0?
  15. You.. are....AWESOME! I was thinking the same thing. I figure Kevin will tell me I'm a basement dweller too since I am having trouble understanding the glory that is Kevin, at which point I will tell him I don't care what the FUKK he thinks because he's not my friend. He's a doosh, but he's OUR doosh.
