  1. I appreciate being paid via Paypal personal, but it is not a sales requirement. I really don't understand why it's such bid deal. I'm certainly not blood over it.
  2. I find it troubling that you can trust boardies with your priceless high grade comics, but you can't trust them around your spouse. That's about as low as it gets. I don't trust you around farm animals.
  3. To a lot of people, friendship means nothing more than opportunity.
  4. There's nothing soft about me. I'm an oak. Yeah, once the Cialis kicks in.
  5. It's gonna be okay Dan. I'm sure there are a few guys* on here that would be willing to sexually harass you as well. *(Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
  6. That's the thread where Pat called Doc a member. His exact words where "valued member." However, I'm not quite sure how he got that idea in his head.
  7. Sorry, I don't have any of those. Will this do?
  8. I swear it looks like I can see the Virgin Mary in that photo.
  9. That's not my point, though - I'm merely alluding to the fact that it would be nice if sellers on this board didn't try pulling all of the that makes ebay suck for buying comic books. If you (meaning "random seller", not you) want to price your books higher than GPA, that's your prerogative - but is it too much to ask that you're upfront about it and don't try to justify the price by posting misleading GPA info? Do you mean like this:
  10. Can people not check GPA on their own? Why on Earth would someone take some else's word (that they don't know) on the price of a comic book? I always check GPA as a reference. It works both ways. Just because the last copy of issue X sold for $17, doesn't mean that's what the book is worth anymore than if it sold $1,000. EDDY: Yes, Yes!… Why, oh why, do we pay taxes, hmmm? I mean, just to have bloody parking restrictions- and BUGGERY-UGLY traffic wardens, and BOLLOCKY-pedestrian-BLOODY-crossings?… and those BASTURD railings outside shops windows, making it so difficult so you can’t even get in them! I mean, I know they’re there to stop stupid people running into the street and killing themselves! But we’re not all stupid! We don’t all need nurse-maiding. I mean, why not just have a Stupidity Tax? Just tax the stupid people! PATSY: And let them DIE!

  12. I'm not a doctor, but I play one on a message board. (thumbs u
  13. No, and I give to charities a lot, including a direct withdrawal at work for United Way, but as the saying goes, there can be too much of a good thing. I hit the forums for a break from real life, to talk/argue/etc. funny books, and I would imagine I'm not alone. When real bad news hits a member of our community, I'm all for a discussion and help (like with Nik's untimely passing) but I also think running a Forum Auction for someone's second cousin is going a bit too far. Hey Vince, Just a little curious, did you ever donate anything to Nik's auction? As much as I would like to know the answer to this question, it really isn't anyone's business. I don't mind, and the answer is no, I was not able to buy anything at Nik's auction. If you remember, I was immediately heading off on a family vacation where I didn't have Net access, and when this was brought up (the auction was during a Canadian long weekend) I endured all sorts of insults along the lines of "I guess Nik should have picked a more convenient time to pass away" and similar. Pretty low stuff, even for the CGC Boards. No one cares, Vince. In fact, your attempt to make yourself appear the victim in the scenario is your newest low and the worst display of bad taste (outside of Whisp saying Nik got what he deserved) I have seen in a while... and that's saying a lot... even for the CGC boards.

Furthermore, it really doesn't sit well with me that someone is using nik's passing and subsequent charity auction/fundraiser to take a potshot at JC even if he is a peckerhead. And no, I'm not defending JC. I'm defending nik's memory and the spirit of the board coming together as a group after his passing. So, in a nutshell, cut it out. JC is the one that brought him up. That's why I was asking the question. I want you both to cut it out. It really should not be a topic of discussion. Show a little more class than your opponent in this instance. (thumbs u

  16. The same here, and lately with all these forum drives, social conscience and never-ending charity auctions, it seems that the CGC Forums needs a new logo: Luckily for you, you always have some excuse why you can't contribute to any fundraisers around here. It's either bad timing or you don't agree or So it must just be upsetting to see all these other board members getting suckered into giving money or books for what you, in a never ending fit of superiority, deem to be unworthy causes. Would that we could all be like you. That warm breeze you feel wafting by with the faint smell of brimstone is the Gates of Hell beginning to swing open. Thanks for opening the Gates of Hell, Transplant.
  17. You were probably just being snarky. Oh, sorry about the jinx smackdown I put on the horns last night. I think you just moved to the front of the Bedrock groin punch line. Folks lining up for my groin? Won't be the first time. Please, not the transvestite story... again. That was inspired by ciorac. He told me I could pull it off. That just sounds dirty. I would never intentionally post anything that sounded dirty.
