  1. Perhaps its an extreme position and Im willing to concede to the majority. Ebay is certainly the best place to file the grievance in this situation. However, I still think there has been precedence for this in the past and it might be best to just clarify the rule as opposed to arguing about something that is likely going to be cleared up in a few days anyway.

The rule is clear. The following Board Members are currently on "Probation" for failure to complete a Marketplace Forum transaction in good faith after one month's time:

This was not a Marketplace Forum transaction. It was not even advertised in the Dealer/eBay forum.

But I agree with you, Shooty, in the sense that clarification is needed IF the intent of the PL is going to be expanded. It does scare me to see only one post from branget with no followup or, apparantly, investigation and have LBLARM's name added to the list the same day.

Isn't Comic Supply on the list for off-board issues? Just sayin'

  2. Didja ever notice how in virtually EVERY other thread, at some point, somebody gets POed at somebody or other and there're all kinds of accusations thrown and somebody's integrity is questioned and somebody goes out of their way to needle somebody in an almost sociopathic way and on and on and on?

and in the WAR COMICS thread (no less), there hasn't been a shred of uncivil discourse. . .EVER.

War comics collectors are de shît.

I should just stay here and ignore most of the rest of the board. I find myself getting worked up over nothing sometimes.

I think I may follow your lead. Went to the Water Cooler more often than I had done in the past and I saw people defending terrorists and child molesters.

  3. I have to agree that some of the threads seem to be over-priced.

I usually just move on and don't even acknowledge them. Unfortunately though there are many of us that will "cheer on" the book for sale or talk about how "if they had money" :blahblah:

I don't so much have a problem with that but definitely the first thing I do when checking sales threads is have GPA open as well. When I see a book that has a sale sometimes even as few as 2-3 weeks ago in the same condition offered I do scratch my head. When the book is now being offered for even more than the sales data of a copy(copies) that is 2 grades higher that also have fairly recent sales then I immediately close the thread.

Mind you, I have and do pay above GPA on books of which I'd probably have a hard time breaking even on, but 40-70% higher is never realistic.

I know whoooo you're talkin' about! (said in a sing'song voice).

  4. Thanks again Andrew (thumbs u

Nice addition to your "Chute run Ray :applause:

How's that comic room coming? Do I have to come over there and whip you into shape??? :baiting: GET ON WITH IT!!!

    And now...

A couple of new additions to my shelf space. I am always looking for something to decorate my comic room and pretty much anywhere else in the "Casa Del Geek" :cloud9:

    It was a good day...

Above is the Tim Bradstreet inspired Punisher statue. I pretty much have every other Punisher statue, so it only seemed fair to take this guy home with me. The Spidey/Venow statue is just awesome... no special reason to get it, just looked cool! I have a few other Kotobukiya staues and find the detail just stunning!

Sin City Marv (Dynamic Forces) full size statue. I was actually pleasantly surprised when I got home and discovered it was #50 of 199 of the Artist's Proof run :cloud9: Very cool and HEAVY statue! Man-Thing... I am an alligator lover and saw this and knew right where it was going (see below). Nothing special about this one, just cool to look at!

    "Alligator Alley"...

Well, that's all folks! Once I finish (maybe this weekend as I am finally off work and HOME) my comic room, I will post new pics in the comic room thread in general.

Now back to watching: The Mindscape of Allan Moore. "A psychedelic journey into one mind of one of the world's most powerful minds". I don't know about that, but so far so good :)

    John :hi:

dude the w is not even close to the m durrrrrrrr....me loves beer.

  5.

    Two great books!

:gossip: But you obviously have me mistaken with Parker, he's the Cajun Geezer around these parts

    :)

Yes. Bill is a Mississippi geezer. No Cajun.

I may live in MS, but I will always be a New Orleanian at heart.

:gossip: and I'm far too young and virile to be a geezer

    :acclaim:

    B itch, please.

    :baiting:

  6. Sorry, but I'm always suspicious when there's a huge jumps in prices in short periods of time. I mean just last year I bought tons of Pedigree HG DC war from Metro for fractions of what CLinks books sold for.
