The Crack In Space by Philip K. MR. Ace F-377 1st Ed. Paperback Original February 1966 $35
Cover art by Jerome Podwil. These 1960's PKD 1st editions in nice shape are drying up.
Fine Plus. Square spine, pages tight, creamy and supple. Usual toning to inside covers. Light spine edgewear, virtually no creasing. A very attractive copy that's heard to beat.

Pebble In The Sky by Isaac Asimov Galaxy Science Fiction Novel No. 14 1st PB, 1st Printing 1953 $30
Cover art by Richard Powers. These Galaxy Novel Digest are pretty common in general but very tough in nice shape due to the flimsy paper covers
Fine Plus. Super glossy, appears unread. Great off white page quality. Light toning to covers. Tiny chipping to lower right pages, mostly at rear. Unusual to see one like this.

Counter Clock World by Philip K. MR. Berkley X1372 February 1967. First Book Edition, PBO. $40
Cover art by Hoot von Zitzewitz
Near Very Fine. A spectacular unread copy of a true 1st Edition. Tougher than "Frolix 8" generally. Bright whites, almost no interior toning and only a trace of edgewear. A proud copy of a tough white cover 1st.

Ok, I'm back with more. I injured my right hand yesterday so using a mouse is painful right now but I'm going to try to push through to deliver these goodies to you. It may be a bit slow of a roll out. Let's start with a little more Science Fiction before we get to some classics.
Our Friends From Frolix 8 by Philip K. MR. Ace 64400 June 1970. First Book Edition, PBO precedes the SFBC Hardcover. $40
Cover art by John Schoenherr
Near Very Fine. A spectacular unread copy of a true 1st Edition. Not a rare book generally but certainly in this condition. Light interior toning and a couple of tiny bits of edgewear. If you want the best, here it is.

Yeah, saw Omar's video yesterday, that is pretty crazy! Rom was one of those "never gonna happen" books, and yet, here it is. I'll buy the omnis for sure. I think there are some crossover issues out there that they should now be able to add to reprints, hopefully they'll do it soon. I can't imagine they paid much for the license, IDW had it and couldn't make it worthwhile, so I assume Marvel picked it up on the cheap just for their collected editions department. So, hopefully that means they'll squeeze it for what it's worth before they give it up, unlike Conan, which they put a ton of time and money into, and then let peter out.
It's a definite buy for me too!

Revolt of the Triffids John Wyndham Popular Library 411 $35 A much better copy than the one I offered last time.
One of Earle K. Bergey's most famous paperback covers with headlights, aliens, great coloring, you name it. A cornerstone book.
Very Good. Spine is solid, slight slant, pages tight, creamy and supple. Covers are glossy with light cover creasing and wear. A very collectible copy of one of the great Science Fiction paperbacks.

sorry about the Watchmen post in the wrong thread.
I agree that Brie is hot, in particular as Envy Adams in Scott Pilgrim.
I like that Black Sheep cover (Metric - Canadian Band) that she plays. I’ve never watched the movie just the You Tube clip from the concert scene.

Wrexham definitely looks to be on the verge of promotion. That was a huge win against Notts County!

I think the family is just telling the truth. I think they loved this man but couldn't deal with his hobby and that was a factor in breaking up the family. Yes the family is now enjoying a windfall profit from his hobby but money doesn't repair relationships or the past.
I try to imagine what it would be like if my wife collected shoes. If she continued to spend the majority of household income on them and owned thousands and they were stacked in boxes in every room in the house and more arrived every day. If we couldn't afford to go on holidays or a new car or whatever. Food and a roof isn't enough. It's not healthy and it will usually lead to conflict and divorce.
Was that the case here? He was a lawyer so assume he had a fair amount of discretionary income.

He was the lawyer for the comic store I worked at until it closed in 2005 (Classic Movie and Comic Center in Livonia, MI). He had been the lawyer for the store since before I started working there in 1986. I didn't know that his collection was that huge, but it doesn't surprise me that much.
I loved that shop!
