Another two things from me being maybe the only guy from the US to attend…
1. If you are in or near Detroit, Buffalo/Niagara Falls, Montreal, Hamilton, Cleveland, or anywhere within 4-5 hours of the show, go at least once. In Canada, I would even say maybe 6-7 hours, since you don’t have to cross the border. I stayed at the hotel the show is at, and it’s a weird area for a hotel, but the rooms are very nice and it’s not expensive. It’s north of the 401 so you don’t have to deal with downtown Toronto unless you want to. Honestly, if you haven’t been to Toronto, it’s a great city to visit. This is especially true in the summer.
2. Something that was very prominent at this show was dealers having boxes labeled “Wall Books” maybe this has been common for a while, but I haven’t really noticed it like this show. I bring this up, because it wasn’t an exaggeration. Guardian had a really nice Sub Mariner 1 and 5 in theirs (among many others) and others had nice books up to $900 Canadian or more in these. There were some questionable ones too, but definitely some good keys.
I was just in TO for work last week. Oh well... next time.

Fantastic news! I can't wait for some of the other story arcs to be adapted. Being a fan of Ancient Greek and Roman history, one of my favourite single issue stories in the run is August/Distant Mirrors Part 2 (issue #30).
So not just hockey?

Thanks for the photos and review. I haven't been to a smaller show in years (or, at this point, *any* show in years)... this one looks really good. I want to be there!
(Come to the Calgary show in April and we’ll take you sightseeing)

I remember when you sold your 9.8 copy… who knew there would be a time when 8.0’s were valuable!

There’s always upgrading?
In my case, I sold off all my ASM run post 50 (51-700) and bought an AF 15. I have since been slowly buying back Romita ASMs in VF or better. It never stops…

My son and I went on Saturday. We had a lot fun. I found the soundtrack hard to hear (inaudible) at times. The action is fast paced, non stop, and frantic, so know that I missed things. I will need another watch at home to pick up all the easter eggs. I loved the animation art style

Good luck with the contest. I'm travelling for work the next couple of weeks so won't have time to participate this year. Your contest is always a lot of fun!
Cheers,

While I doubt that "Brave New World" and "1984" need fear that "Sexmax" will dethrone their honored status 😁 I've found most 60's SciFi to be at least entertaining. I haven't read this as I feared it was too nice to crack open and the cover deserves to be preserved. It's a pretty crazy image.
true!

SEXMAX by Hughes Cooper Pseudonym of George H Leonard Paperback Library 64-174 1st Edition Paperback Original 1969 $25
Incredible nudes cover. The last gasp of the 1960's sci fi in full hippie mode - of course computer matched sex hookups actually became a thing
Very Fine - unread copy - no spine bend or wear at all - only the slightest shelf/edge wear. Pages bright and creamy.
I wonder if the story is any good. Unlike many of my GA comics that I buy strictly for the cover image, I usually try to purchase books that I have enjoyed reading or would enjoy. Nice cover though.

I'm going to take a pause here, to barbeque dinner for my wife and raise a toast to all who gave all. I may get back tonight to post, but otherwise will resume to figure out next steps as I have lots of books left but also am trying to make time to finish the collectibles room. I made great progress on my Ikea shelves today in between posts and my honey-do list Thanks to everyone who is visiting here in any capacity. If there's something that catches your fancy, let me know.
Please share photos of your collectibles room.
