  1. My "next best" book is usually getting a lower grade entry level copy of various books I want and can afford vs buying one higher grade copy of a single book. I typically buy on opportunity, meaning if I find a good deal, that is better to me than putting all my resources in one main book I want. I know a lot of people don't love this approach, but it works for me. I'm happy to own copies of Batman 181, 189, 251, Tec 359, etc. instead of just having to pick owning one of those books in a higher grade. And I don't plan on these going anywhere anytime soon, so the "investment" part on these means less to me (insert DC collector joke here). I just love having these in the collection. Edited to add - these six books cost me $2,500 total. Right now, I could own maybe a 6.5-7.5 Detective 359 for that price, or all of these books. I'll take all of these.
  2. The juxtaposition of Penthouse Comix 10 and Tip Top Comics 186 made me actually laugh out loud. Nice looking haul of books!
  3. Decent little eBay auction win - $32 shipped total.
  4. Back for another round, and everything was wonderful as usual - thank you!
  5. Weird, I just sold them a book on March 20 - just a $6 raw X-men. They paid right away and left a nice feedback when they got the book.
  6. Picked up a couple of books from a couple of shops while on vacation. No ridiculous deals, but some good looking books at ok prices. Got 15% off the DC Special and the McFarlane ‘Tec
  7. I should probably open these, but there is something kind of cool in keeping them sealed, like the old Toys r Us comic packs from the late 80s. I have a couple of the DC packs with Batman 89 and Hell Arisen 3 third prints still sealed, and a couple of the Marvels with Venom 25 and Strange Academy 1. I've opened a few too - I sold a Moon Knight out of one of them for $160, and I also sold a couple of sealed packs for more than double what I paid for them - so I'm doing ok with them so far.
  8. I picked up one each of the Batman Killing Time 1 and Long Halloween IMAX packs - I might open them, but I might just leave them sealed. I don't see the RWBY spine on either. I grabbed two other packs two because I saw the red and black spine area, but now that I have them home and can really look at them, I can tell they're not the RWBY... I haven't opened them so I might just keep them sealed or sell them.
  9. I'm thinking it must be - even League of Comic Geeks doesn't list it as a cover, and they're pretty good about showing all the variants: https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/comic/8567411/batman-killing-time-1
  10. My dad found a few more of his old books and gave them to me - pretty beat up unfortunately, but it's still really cool to have these:
