  1. I feel like they meant to say "It is a pejorative term..."
  2. I'm sure part of it is because he feels "annointed." I obviously don't know the kid, so I don't want to paint him with an unfair brush. But Will had to bust his butt to build himself into what he is - his son, not so much. As a parent of teenagers, I see the entitlement creep through from time to time, and we work hard to squash that - and our kids are not the products of movie stars. It just seems to be a generational thing. They see "instant" success on social media and they feel like they deserve that too, but they don't understand what exactly goes into it for many. It's difficult to fault them, but it's important to educate them. Not saying Will and Jada are bad parents, but it must be difficult on an entirely other level when your family is always in the spotlight. I hope if he gets it he can take it seriously and really lean into it, and I hope people like Tom Holland and Zendaya can mentor him and help him along the path (even if they don't have anything to do with a live-action Miles movie, I could see them stepping up to offer guidance, they seem to understand the relationship between the fans and the material, and they both seem like fine actors and professionals).
  3. My flea market experiences usually seem to fit loosely into three categories. 1 - the seller who bought a bunch of comic books in bulk and just wants to move inventory. I was at a recurring flea market we have in our town last year, and a guy had a few longboxes and some books on the table; nothing had marked prices. Saw a probably VF Dark Knight Returns 1 on the table and asked how much. He said "it's only the first part, I don't have the rest, sorry. How about $2?" I have no clue how he knew it was a miniseries but didn't know the value, turned out to be a first print too. I ended up buying a stack of books for around $65. These sellers usually have unsorted boxes - my favorite because it's like a treasure hunt - and they'll just throw out random prices. 2 - the seller who knows a little about some stuff but doesn't seem to care. Same flea market, different day, different seller. Guy had a couple of shortboxes marked "$2/comic" and a few books on a table, all marked. One of the table books was a beat up Crisis on Infinite Earths 8 - he had a post-it note on the bag that said "Death of the Flash - $30." But in the boxes, I found a lot of drek of course, but then I found Thor 338 and 339 for $2 each. These sellers are ok; you can find some cool stuff sometimes if you look hard enough. 3 - the seller who thinks old comic book equals big bucks. These are the people who usually have 10-15 random books in their booth, and they want $40 for Whitman Disney comics. I always look just in case, but I try to avoid these sellers like the plague.

  5. I think they're still around in some Walmarts, you just have to hunt for them.
