  1. Yeah, thanks - I've done that before, but I noticed I was getting decent results by countering initially low-ball offers when I didn't have a limit set. So then it got me wondering if I was missing out on potential sales by having a limit, so I turned it off.
  2. Great books, great packing, excellent sale as always. Thank you!
  3. I've shared this in a few other threads, but I'll never sell this. Always wanted a "double-digit" Detective, and this is my only one I'll likely ever own:
  4. Any of the random weird white specks you see are from a dirty scanner (sorry)...
  5. Not block worthy, but I needed to vent - mods can delete if this doesn't belong. I have a book for sale for $21.95 obo. Guy offered me $10. Fair enough, I've sent some tester offers in my day, not a problem - I totally get it. I countered at $19.95, figuring I'd get a re-counter at like $15-18 and I might accept. I'm trying to move the books I list, I'm pretty open to offers. Guy comes back with a counter - $11. Come on dude. I let it expire. Then I sent an offer to all watchers at $19.95 to get some action going. This same guy comes back from that one at $12! This book sells all day between $18-25, and mine is a nice copy. I don't mind accepting offers and giving some deals so people are happy, but the $1 re-counters just irk me to no end...
  6. I've never seen that 210 cover, that's beautiful - nice books!
  7. I don't own a Spider-Gwen either - I've looked at it, but I have other stuff I want right now. I overpaid (at the time anyway) for a 9.2 UF4 - I just wanted in on that book and I missed the first few boats, but I decided I had to get in at a price and a grade I was reasonably comfortable with. At going rates I'm definitely not losing money, and I feel like this is a book that will rise in the long term across most grades - for all the reasons I said, plus I think Miles has long-term staying power, and we haven't even seen a live-action movie yet. Plus Comichron estimates about 93,000 copies exist for UF4 first print between the cover A and the variant. That's a relatively low-ish print run for such a strong first appearance.
  8. The interesting thing to me with Miles is that he's often marketed as "Miles Morales." Like, by now, most people know that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, Clark Kent is Superman, Bruce Wayne is Batman, etc. But usually when they're marketed, especially to non-comic-nerds, they're marketed as the super hero, not the "alter-ego." But Miles is often marketed as Miles Morales - Spider-Man, because there's a cultural aspect to the Miles character and his Afro-Latino heritage. This could be important for a few reasons - it could gain fans who might ultimately have a better familiarity with the character of Miles himself as opposed to just Spider-Man, it could draw in new fans/readers who feel a greater sense of identification with the character, and it could act as a historical/cultural touchstone when we're (hopefully) talking about this character and this specific book - Ultimate Fallout 4 - 20-30 years from now. For me, that is enough reason to bet on Miles' staying power and the potential long-term value of this book.
  9. There was an earlier post that people found the Marvel ones at different stores a while back but I can't remember which...
  10. That didn't sell for $2,000, it was listed at $2k or best offer. It sold for $300
  11. I've received shipments of 100+ books before - they came in short boxes packed with newspaper and the short box was in another box packed with more newspaper and bubble wrap. The biggest considerations (other than weight and cost) is that you pack the books well enough that they don't shift or move at all, and in that you ship in boxes sturdy enough to survive crushing, both of which could damage the books.
  12. I have a foil cover comic that has this same protective outer cover - CGC customer service told me that if I wanted it graded, I could remove it myself or I could indicate to them that I wanted them to remove it.
