That was intense! I stumbled upon a guy who was closing up a store and was doing a huge sale in my area. He wasn't interested in selling the collection as a whole so I cherry picked what he had and was shocked at all the books he still had in storage. The bags were so old they practically melted together but the books are in great shape. His bulk deals were so good I practically grabbed whole stacks and filled a long box. I've got his number and hopefully we can cement a bigger deal later!

You can fit about 80 long boxes in a big cargo van which is pretty cheap to rent for a weekend. I ended up renting a small storage unit and was able to get rid of it within 3 months since I donated a bunch and was able to set up shelves in the basement for the rest. After buying a 80 long box collection comprised of 90% drek I'd recommend to my myself not to do it. I made pretty good money all in all but the amount of work necessary would be better spent elsewhere. I only paid $20 a long box and even that was way too much considering all the work necessary to move that much 90s drek. Hope yours is more like a collection and not store overstock but when you are talking about 120 long boxes you have to assume the worse.

Not sure if e-bay has "I messed up and it's completely and utterly obvious I messed up" as one of the reasons you are cancelling a sale. I think lost or damaged is one of the options that most people pick.

Kind of a d-bag move by sending a neg on a $1 NM 98 CGC 9.6. I'd love it if the seller followed thru but you would have to assume it was a typo and I'd have moved on. Some people have no compassion for others.

Did any of Larry's picks turn out to be decent books in the long run?

If this next season is a success you will see people jumping over fences to get the Preacher keys they have been passing up on all year. Can't believe how cold Preacher has gotten especially considering there is a guarneteed 2nd season coming.

Was that based on CGC grades or your own grading of the books?

Wow! And I thought I was doing well selling them for $15. Donut killed it. But looking at the sold items there has to be at least 5 copies recently which have sold for $20 so I guess that is the new price. But don't tell people since I find a bunch in the $5 boxes at Cons.

Whoops - looks like I should have read up a bit. Punisher is one of those characters who doesn't have a set cast of villains since I guess he kills them off.

They already did jigsaw but is there any other criminal that could make an appearance? Maybe Sin Eater? Can't really think of anyone that is an easy fit.

ComicLink better watch it with all these spam e-mails. Only so many I can handle before figuring out how to turn them off completely. I've gotten 2 today and the day is only half over - I swear I got 5 yesterday.

As was stated earlier - artists use to sign for free since that helped sell their $20 prints or something else they had to sell to people at Cons. Can this sudden rush for signature fees be traced back to not as many people buying prints or anything from the artist but instead bringing their own stuff to be signed (with much of it being quickly offered up for sale)?

Saw it this weekend and liked it alot. Not the deepest movie and the 1st half was a bit slow but overall had everything you would want from a pirate movie.

It took me a bit to send them a check so I'm still waiting to get my last batch of wins. These auction just seem to blend together at this point since they seem to come around way too often.

Looks like a dust shadow on the top back cover which seems to be getting harder by CGC. I'll still go 8.5 due to the killer gloss and the square bounds having to get a small bump since they have so many production type issues. Great book
