No matter which Con you go to there seems to be no shortage of long boxes full of variants being blown out for $3. I swear one booth in Buffalo had 4 or 5 long boxes full and not one person looking thru them.

Bob McLeod had a sign up saying the first signature was free (except New Mutants) and CGC books were like $20. He was sitting by himself sketching the two times I walked they the virtually empty artists and celebrity area. I stopped in to get a quick sig on a early new mutant I had just picked up since I assumed he meant no free sigs on key new mutants. Nope - no free sigs on all New Mutant books. I asked him why that was and he kind of shrugged and went back to having no line and sketching. The only thing more depressing was Jake the Snake and the Iron Sheik sitting with no line and nothing to do. There was a line for Shatner but everyone else had no line at 4:00 on Saturday.

I drove 5 hours for that?? Still picked up some nice books but damn was that a Con I will not be going back to.

Still trying to will myself to finish the series. I think I'm on episode 8 or 9 and it just seems to bore me. I like having it on while I pack up books or do some scans since I don't really need to pay 100% attention and I still get the gist.

Not the best preview I've seen but it does look different enough that it could get a following. Didn't like the costume at all.

Thanks Chuck - I was just on my way to post that info. Does he basically promote a complete boycott of CGC by other artists (freelancers). Dude is flipping out over fees for 3 signed books??? You would think CGC ran over his dog or something.

I feel like there is way more meat on his calling CGC a bunch of scam artist and all of us a bunch of dupes then him not getting someone's name from CGC or stiffed out of a few bucks. The more and more I look at it from various angles the worse he looks.

He says it is a scam and in previous posts says CGC is something other artists complain about. His first angry post was very anti SS which I can understand if he was pissed. But he sat down and thought about it and his response threw even more venom at CGC and indirectly fans of encapsulated books. That is his right but I don't appreciate it (especially if it all revolves around 1 bad experience) and I don't want anything to do with him. If he is so anti slabbing then why work for other authenticators at an agreed on cash grab . . I mean price.

Wow this thing has some legs on Facebook. Starlin's post has 1,100 likes and 196 comments with most being "good for you" and "I've thought the same way for years".

Yea - I didn't much like the roof top scene but they all can't be perfect. There was really no chemistry between the youngest sister and Shadow which was evident in the book. But I agree Shadow and Wednesday are perfect castings.
