  1. Right there with ya. My subs are generally 10-15 books each
  2. Looks like you've already released it from its case, but I was going to suggest seeing if you could slip a piece of paper in from the side and use it to fold the piece back down. I know the gaps on the sides of my magazine slabs are large enough to slip a recipe card through.
  3. The resealable bags I use have the sticky part on the main part of the bag, not the flap. When you fold the flap over, it connects to the sticky part on the back of the bag. This nearly eliminates the possibility of tape pulls. I mean, you'd have to be really clumsy to manage a pull with this design. Like, really clumsy.
  4. ^^^ That's what I use. They look great.
  5. Great job pressing out that spine roll - what a difference! Looks great!
  6. I'm sure it's lighting or whatnot, but the All-Star Western and the HOS each look like different books in/out of the holder. The ASW in the holder seems to have a slightly rolled spine or mis-fold from the printer; the cracked HOS seems to have more creases/tears(?) than when slabbed.
  7. My Wal-Mart has a ton of DC multi-packs. Do any of those have exclusive covers, or certain variants?
  8. What a cover! Kudos to whoever decided on this color scheme (Editor? Colorist? Other?), with Thor popping out of the nearly monochromatic background. Reminds me of Cap 109 as well.
  9. This petty back-and-forth isn't a good look for either of you.
  10. I've placed many large orders with MCS in the past, and found *on average* their grading to be consistent. Sometimes half a point higher or lower than I would expect the book to be graded at; rarely more than that in deviation; i.e., a book I buy from them as graded 4.0, upon inspection I might consider 3.5, 4.0, or 4.5. I have no idea what CGC would call any book at any given time, however.
  11. This exact thing happened to me. I was looking at an item and forgot to put it in my "watch" list. When I re-did the SAME SEARCH as before, the item didn't show up! I tweaked key words and after about five minutes I found the listing. WTH??
  12. I have a CGC 9.2 Newsstand Edition, so I'm happy GoCollect, for what it's worth, currently places its value at $1,100
  13. Same for me on my laptop, but not on my PC...? So weird.
  14. My local Wal-Mart had ONE pack, the Alien pack. Are they all standard pre-packs, meaning if you have he Alien one you are guaranteed certain books? Or are they random? Could I still be surprised by its contents?
  15. I don't think so. I think that's more of a "blunt force trauma" kind of thing.
  16. I'm honestly surprised that a rusty staple with what appears to be possible minor rust migration got a 9.2.
  17. Often the notes will omit obvious flaws and only include the more subtle ones.
  18. I travel to That's Entertainment a couple times a year for some deep-diving
