  1. A few of the books I got back recently are a bit loose in the slab. It makes me VERY nervous, especially since one is a 9.8. All it takes is a little bump in the slab for a corner to get damaged. I don't know how it would survive going through the mail a 2nd time.
  2. Can confirm Mine were delivered 3/10, an entered into the system today (hooray!!)
  3. Mine also just got received today on the website, after having been confirmed as delivered on 3/10, so a three-week "delay" is accurate. Frustrating, but accurate.
  4. The three-week delay is accurate (if frustrating). I had a shipment confirmed delivered by USPS on 3/10. It was just entered into the system today.
  5. Thanks for the tip! Will definitely do that next time.
  6. I got exasperated and just sent it in as-is. I'm sure a book or two got bumped up a tier and I'm paying more for the grading as a result of the inflated end price
  7. I've also been confused over this. It seems when I put a value on 2 of the same item, CGC totals it as if both were the same value - though they are different grades. For instance, let's say I have fictional title "Z-Man" #1 in NM and VF condition. NM value is $100. VF is $25. So on my form I put $125. I've noticed on the final invoice that it comes out as "$125.00 x Quantity: 2 = Value: $250.00" By this reasoning, I should have put value at $62.50, so that it multiplies by two to make $125? That is certainly a roundabout and inaccurate way of doing this.
  8. Yeah, not even opening the boxes for a month is worrisome.
  9. UGH Hopefully they will soon get settled into their announced expansion and this will have a positive effect on TAT.
  10. I sent my first submission of books last November, and at least 2 of the 10 I sent shimmy a little if you give the case a little tap I'm very concerned that if I end up selling those books, that they will move around in transit and bump the edges
  11. That's odd. Why not? If we can include a description of damage on a raw book when trying to sell it, why not include what the professional grader(s) found?
  12. I wonder if they would do something as small as a Chick tract...?
  13. My postal carrier used to just verify I was me and hand it to me without signing (as mentioned before, due to "nobody wanting to touch the thingie"), but now they leave a note at my house stating I need to pick up my package at the post office. The last time I picked up, I told they guy at the desk that I used to just have my package handed to me, and the desk guy said that's a "no-no" and if records show up that it was delivered with no signature, that generates a "red flag" (presumably seen by the Postmaster General).
  14. I'm currently storing mine in a shortbox sized specifically for CGC slabs, but now I'm worried I'm doing my books a disservice by standing them upright in it! Of course, I had them upright in longboxes (bagged and boarded) when they were raw, so...
  15. Mine were delivered on 3/10 - 8 days ago - and no update in the system Glad I'm not the only one; now I feel better!
