I'm also shocked that CGC have let the econ TAT stay about a year for this long. The estimated TAT has been nearly a calendar year for about what, 4-6 months now?

Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???

So y'all are saying that when I part with mine, I should post it here. I have some extremely costly home repairs about to be started and am considering selling at least a good portion of my complete Avengers Vol. 1 series -

Let me echo that your work here is greatly appreciated! -
You might still have a couple of weeks to go. Tomorrow I'm getting back a submission that was marked received at the end of September 2021.
-
Oh, I fully realize this!

I haven't seen any comics that tell anybody how they should feel, or for that matter, what they should buy.

My Economy submission from September 2021 (no press) is scheduled to arrive on my doorstep tomorrow, nearly a full year after CGC received it. Ridonkulous. At least modern TATs are good. I recently got a 9-book Modern submission back a month after I sent it. 6 of the books were within 0.5 of my estimate, one was exactly what I anticipated, one that I thought was a 5.0 got a 3.5 (harsh, but after re-visiting the book I can kind of see where they were coming from), but one that I thought was an 8.5 got a 9.2! So pretty much two were off my mark, but the other seven on point. ZERO issues with the slabs. No Newton Rings, no stray hairs, no slipped books, no SCS, no cracks, and (surprisingly) no scuffs. Looks like QC has improved - maybe...?

Moderns that are heating up on ebay!

Morrison is also very much hit-or-miss with me as well, with the misses being as huge as the hits. I find it baffling that the same person that wrote WE3 and Animal Man also wrote Final Crisis. Their New X-Men started off strong, then lost me along the way. I do really need to read All-Star Superman. I read the first issue and was like, "meh." But it won an Eisner so it can't be all that bad ;) -

Recent 50-cent and dollar bin finds! Only exception is the WW. I paid $4 for that. Some of these are in surprisingly great shape. -
Ah yes, the typical ad hominem replies. Well done, folks. You never fail to disappoint.

To be clear, I'm not saying that everybody that doesn't like the show is because of sexism (because you know that's gonna be some of y'all's knee-jerk reaction), but... ...holy cow the different levels of sexism in these comments. Do you even hear yourselves? The population of the CGC forums really is a sausage fest, isn't it? (for the record, I've only seen the first episode, and I didn't particularly like it either)

Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???
djzombi replied to Wally's Comics's topic in Comics General
I would hope that at the bare minimum they would at least look at the centerfold, because that's where a lot of damage can occur, even on moderns. But that's probably too much to ask for. -
Yes! Great stuff!

Gorgeous! And yeah, I suspect Palmer was more of a "finisher" on breakdowns by Buscema.
-
That would be the day.

Modern Slow: 7/27/22: Received Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging: 8/19/22 Definitely a huge improvement in modern TAT! Now they need to give Economy Slow some love
-
Came here to say exactly this. Palmer seemed really heavy-handed over Buscema, but him with Colan was a match made in heaven.

I have actual Silver Age Marvels with staples placed like this
