ahh..ok...the deadline does not mean the signing will occur soon. It is is just when they want the books so it can be processed in the system. Signings can be 2 -3 months after or longer. When they receive books for signing they are either in status of SFG if you choose no press or if you did choose press, it will be Received at CCS. It will stay in that status until signing happens and then will take roughly 6-8 weeks to process (ie status updates) and ship.

Has the signing occurred? I do not recall seeing anything online about it happening. If he did, when?

Yes you can but it is hit or miss. On the window bag you create, on the painter tape, write down the color you would like. They may do it or they may not.

If you select pressing when you submit your order for the signing, the signing will occur first, then pressing, then grading, then encapsulation.

The Virgin copy is Cover D based on quick search on ebay.

Have you sent an email to mandy@comicsketchart.com for an update? Mandy is pretty responsive. Had a book that took over a year (blame it on COVID due to restrictions for signings) and Mandy was helpful in providing updates and ensuring book arrived.

I went ahead to create submission with intention of manually writing label as you stated but see that it now works. All custom labels are showing up for that specific issue. Thanks. Hopefully others who had issues with different comics will work.

Hi, issue still persist for signature submission where custom labels do not appear as option (see prior post and I understand that I can manually write in label on packing slip) but when I go to print out the packing slip, I noticed that the packing slip is not showing the page with comics and order information, where one cuts out for each comic (to tape to back of comic board) is not showing up. This is is not just for new orders but on checking past orders, the same issue appears, no page for each comic listed to cut out.

Hi, trying to do a submission for Amazing Spider-Man titles. After selecting title from Comic Lookup and selecting Custom Labels option, only 3 show up. It is missing the rest of the labels to choose from. If I choose a different title like Moon Knight, all custom labels appear. An example where it does not work is this Marvel Comics Amazing Spider-Man #3 7/22 Lee Variant Cover Can you review and address? Thanks!

@CGC Mike Does this impact the Sabine Rich, specifically the double signing with JSC? Does this mean that the signing will be different days?

I would reach out to them to fix (would this fall under ME?). Check with them. Don't settle for it if you are not completely happy.

Good news! Checking my status today...marked Shipped! Took a while to move from QC (08/04) to Ship (08/18). Now the wait for the next set of signings to occur

Same status as of today though last week I did place a hold at CGC as I was going to be out of town last week. I did not want them to mail it out as there would be no one to sign for it. Called them today to release the hold and the rep said it was in the shipping dept so it may be close. Though I think being in G/QC is taking longer. Usually a couple of days after does it go to ship but it is longer like others have experienced.

This same topic came up on the Ask CGC forum. See Shipping Policy topic. CGC will not allow a hold via Fedex. You need to contact them and request a hold for you. I just did this and arranged a hold and when they should ship. The contact number is in the topic and the email as well though the email is acting weird at the time I tried. They said they were having email server so best to call direct.

Create a window bag as you would if it was raw (ie where you want the signature to go) and send that bag along with the slab. When the slab is cracked, they will place the book in the window bag you sent. The window bag is just a regular size comic bag. If you do not send a window bag, they will still crack and place in one of their signature yellow window bag where the creator will sign the book wherever they want. Better to create your own window bag where you want it signed.

yes, that is the problem. I did send to the correct email address but the reply shows incorrect email.

@CMatthewshi I did use the correct email & that is the message I get. Who can I contact about hold since the address does not work & references another in the reply I pasted.

My Inhyuk Lee books just went to Grading/Quality Control

Thank you for this as this is very timely as I will be away myself. At what stage/status should we notify CGC if we want books to be held? My books just went to Grading/Quality Control today ( They went to G/E/I earlier this week.) If I recall, the next status will Shipped.
