Upgradeable copy possibly?

Still waiting for the market crash so I can load up on several copies

I'm sure there will be repercussions for not going through with a sale. For one, the buyer can leave a negative feedback and a strike against him as a seller.

Also a possibility the seller will back out of selling the book.. It sold for a steal of a price. Was thinking at least $25k for it.

I'm betting that it had pressible defects. I don't see how this copy could sell for much more than avg 6.0 price without it.

Others have indicated that it may have been shill bid just to artificially raise up the value. Doubt it will be recorded on GPA, or may be removed if up already.

Because this copy has nice supple pages compared to the brittle pages the other two sold for.

Pretty sure it will hit close to that number or surpass it this 2nd go around.

Went off to a strong start and sold at a disappointing price unfortunately. Previously was sold raw for $9300..

I can think of 2 scenarios. The account has been hijacked and we all know that we have seen a lot of scammers trying to sell AF 15's for cheap or the seller simply made a mistake on price.

Yeah it does makes sense as I too would agree with you there. Sparkle is i think doing a nice favor for the buyer if it is the case.

I think it's also the buyer's responsibility to ask questions and have a rough idea on how to grade comics, especially a comic of this magnitude. If you're going to be spending on an item like this, you better do your homework first. Like with most dealers, they cannot guarantee what a 3rd party grading company would grade the book, which I think is fair game. I asked Sparkle City questions about the book and felt that based on their responses, that their assigned grade was a bit high. I actually had the book graded at a GD+ so was accurate there but didn't expect the light tan pages, which was way off from their offwhite-white pages they had it at.

I think around 9500? Just checked bidding looks like its doing quite well. Wondering why owner would flip it that quickly.

There's a 2.5 copy being auctioned up by SparkleCity. Book sold previously raw ungraded as a VG- with offwhite/white pages just last month and now it's graded as a 2.5 with light tan-offwhite. Talk about "ouch" for the current owner reselling right away..

I have the Jim Lee X-Men #1. Does that count? I believe I have all cover variations.

Looks like most are dumping their chipped copies so they can possibly use the funds to buy non chipped copies.
