  1. Agree with most that the Ditko cover has also ingrained in my head after years of looking at it. I also like the simplicity of the cover. Kirby cover ain't bad at all, but to me looks more "modern" and not have that "vintage" feel.
  2. Nice to see another GPK fan! I have a complete set 1-15 with all variations from the original 80's card line in NM condition. Great selection of toys too. I had a small collection of G1 Transformers, but decided to not pursue it because there is just too many and I don't have space to collect em all if ever. The problem with vintage GI Joes from what I read in the past is the rubber band being delicate due to age attaching the torso and hip/legs area of the figure if you have a sealed card. Pretty scary if you spent hundreds or more and then years later the body is separated from the rest. I do like the new Matt Collector He-Man collection. Again, just too many to collect.
  3. Too much drama happening on here so let's divert back to talking about AF 15. There's a decent looking 4.0 copy at the CL Exchange, has a slight misalignment at bottom. Curious to see how much it would sell for.
  4. Appreciate the help Andre. My buddy found us a room already.. Just not happy with it is all I can say.
  5. Yep, I've been in and out of this club too! I've owned 2 6.0 copies and a 4.0 copy. Wish I had at least one of em back.
  6. Same here, comics will be #1 for me. Lately, I've been gravitating towards other things I enjoyed as a kid (a few toys and Garbage Pail Kids mainly) and sports cards here and there. Thanks for the nice compliment on my GA collection. I try my best to build a decent collection, just tough with prices rising on the ones I want to add . You have a fine SA collection yourself! Looking at your sig. line I'd be a kid in a candy store to have what you own with the 3 biggest SA keys leading the way.
  7. The timing of it all was off, just felt weird to see books ending at that time. I thought at first that the online bidding would end that day then the live auction would begin the following day.
  8. I think you made a wise decision by gravitating towards comics Interesting that since the 1990's, there is quite a popularity and audience who are still collecting these cards, play against their friends, etc. More power to those who are into MTG.
  9. Did you win the book at your own predicted price range?
  10. Actually I thought the SC 4 CGC 5.5 would sell for at least $33k+. A 5.0 recently sold for $30k.
  11. I dunno anything about MTG, but am aware that some of the rarer cards are worth a lot of $$$. I don't get all the popularity and hype of it at all.
  12. Anything is possible with AF 15. Sky's the limit. I wasn't surprised that there would be a price increase, but was quite shocked at the levels AF 15 have been selling recently for non-chipped copies. Those who have a copy are jumping for joy right now.. So, are these crazy prices the new price point for copies? We thought that the CC copies were outliers and have a chance at an upgrade if pressed, but after the copy on HA, it seems like the effect is trickling down to other venues. Oh, and I don't think the 4.0 is upgradeable..
  13. The nice Heritage CGC 4.0 copy just sold for $35,850. Record price me thinks?
  14. How has your friend been able to foresee that buying as much AF 15's would pay off well in the future?
  15. That's why I bought it :).. I think it is undervalued and under the radar to most.
  16. Should be a nail biter down the stretch. I'm rooting for the Wiz.
