  1. Missing my former 8.5 white pages even more now
  2. Yes that is also a possibility also. If the purchase price was set at $150k, why accept a lower offer and not go through with the transaction? Just doesn't make sense... Unless it's a bogus seller who doesn't even have the book and just wants to mess around or something. Unless someone actually asks about it, we will never know.
  3. Hope everyone will be safe and alert at all times during the biggest pop culture/comic event in the planet! A lot of crazies out there
  4. Or what if the buyer wanted it down in a hurry? Can't he/she request it after making the purchase? And it wasn't like the sale got taken down right away after it sold. It was up for a few days.
  5. Just got home from watching the WW movie. I enjoyed it! Seemed to be getting a lot of good reviews too. Looks like key WW books will continue to soar. I have a feeling we won't see a pullback anytime soon even after the movie hype has died down.
  6. Anyone can list their book up for sale for whatever buy it now price they want. at any time. Might've been too late for CL to advise the seller on its market value? It sold in a flash I would assume. Unless of course CL bought the book, then that might be a different story.
  7. I'd say that's what's gonna happen should the seller back out of the transaction.
  8. Tell me about it. A sale should be final with no backing out. I'm sure CL has some sort of policy about that.
  9. And I was on the waitlist too should the buyer back out
  10. I'll trade you Coke Zero for those wine bottles
  11. Yep, there is indeed a range based on grade, but lately, i do not know anymore especially the 8.0 copy that recently sold.. Outlier? Who knows. Definitely need more data points per grade to study the pattern better. But, I think lower to mid grade copies will have a quicker understanding of the pattern since more out there to be sold or have sold.
  12. Tough to figure out an exact price per point on AF 15, let alone other books that suffer from marvel chipping. There will always be a range. It's all about eye appeal! The better the eye appeal, sometimes regardless of the grade, the higher price it will sell for.
  13. To me, right now, it seems Captain America is more popular than Superman . Here is how I rank the top 5 most popular characters in Marvel and DC: MARVEL 1) Spider-Man 2) Wolverine 3) Deadpool 4 ) Captain America 5) Iron Man DC 1) Batman 2) Flash 3) Harley 4) Joker 5) Wonder Woman/Green Arrow (I think in time, WW will take a slight edge)
  14. A few years back, I decided to buy a Wonder Woman key issue knowing that her popularity is beginning to rise and that the key books related to her would likely appreciate sooner than later. Had a choice between AS 8 and Sen 1. Never did like the cover to WW 1 personally. I ended up buying the Sen 1 because it has a better cover and the first WW cover in a book I believe. Crazy how big the gap is between AS 8 and Sen 1/WW 1. Had I known it was gonna be this large, I would've bought an AS 8, sold it last year, and buy a Sen 1 with some pocket change.
  15. Definitely a record price for the grade. Bought mine for a fraction of it and my copy is all complete and nice eye appeal.
  16. Not a fan of tape, so i didn't bid on either of the Tec books
  17. I estimated the value of the book between $200k-$250k
  18. So... Who bought the CL Cap #1 CGC 6.5 copy for $135k!? That was a terrific buy!
  19. When I had my Tec 33 years back, it used to be at around $2500 a point
  20. That's some good detective work. Tnx for unraveling the mystery.
  21. Now that was a fun game to play for Genesis! Loved the Dwarf.
