  1. Since your keeping em, I'd leave as is as well. Love the Jack Kirby signature if it is really authentic. And both are in blue labels so that's always a plus.
  2. Not sure if it can get a 4.0, but it would definitely get a green label (qualified). I have a Bat 1 with the coverst still attached together but are detached from the book itself and it got a 2.5.
  3. Unrestored Supes 1 is tough to come by. I wouldn't be surprised if it sells for more than as expected even with the low eye appeal.
  4. Now that is a beautiful book. I love the colorless and the freshness of the cover. Tough to find a copy with deep reds on Spidey. Congrats!
  5. Now if only I can find a complete Tec 27 cover, I would be extremely happy
  6. Yep was also thinking about the slight to brittle pages as well. Certainly looks like it, but was not mentioned. Buyer might be in for a rude awakening.
  7. I would've thought $3k tops on the Tec 37 ebay copy. Guess I was way wrong
  8. We've been talking about this book in the pre-robin tec thread already
  9. Just beautiful to look at side to side. I guess you can leave as is so you can enjoy both the covers and the 1st wrap at the same time.
  10. At the very least it would maintain the same value
  11. Possibly. The Tec 36 is in better overall condition than the Tec 27 because the latter has a couple larger pieces out at the back cover so 1.8 tops seems right I think.
  12. I feel that the grade is right on for this copy. I was comparing my copy to the one on CC and they both have the same type of strong eye appeal for a 4.5. I dunno if anyone noticed the long faint triangular crease at the bottom right hand corner of the book. I think that it is long enough that I cannot see an upgrade potential among other defects on the book.
  13. I remember about 10 years ago on ebay, there was a low graded but complete Tec 27 that sold for around $35k if I'm not mistaken. I believe Metro was the high bidder on that book. Wish I was able to snag it, but I was young and didn't have that much $
  14. Yep I remember you were one of the bidders and also your prediction of 317k. Just crazy how prices have exploded since then.
  15. I see that too because unrestored copies are having such huge exponential growth depending on the book. It doesn't mean that restored or conserved copies have not seen any growth in price because they have too compared to previous years but at a much slower pace.
  16. I haven't looked yet but the original grade is in the HA archive
  17. I forgot about that copy and have to look back at that sale. But if it sold for close to a mil then my conservative estimate was too conservative
  18. Yep.. I don't want to downgrade the book at all as it is still a beautiful copy, but if the book were to be regraded right now and because of the new tape rule, the book will likely get a 1.8. So if I was a serious buyer I'd price it as a 1.8..
