  1. You people saying that Stan was paid to be the boss and it was expected then. Well the interview where he states he doesn't know why Jack left seems rather recent and he still seems to not want to admit what went on back then so I don't give him any pass for what happened in the past as he can't admit now what took place.
  2. A classic I've seen, thanks. It's been a long time since, so maybe I'll add it to my queue and give it a reviewing. No specific genre or order, but here's some movies I've watched from Netflix that I enjoyed in the last 4 months (yeah, it's been pretty sparse in good movies lately). Your Name. (anime) Maudie (drama) Shot Caller (action) The Big Sick (comedy) How to Be a Latin Lover (comedy) The Exception (thriller, drama) Gifted (drama) Their Finest (drama) The Sense of an Ending (drama) Land of Mine (action) I loved Witching & person_without_enough_empathying (Spanish) and have recommended it a couple times, but nobody has posted they saw it. Too bad, it's got some great visuals and love how the story does a 180 early on. If you're looking for more recommendations, I posted a list of about 60 smaller independents or foreign movies I would recommend, previously that should be found in my old posts. Here's the link from almost 2 years ago.
  3. Saw it today, liked it a lot. So is the first appearance of Korg going up, being he was the most likeable character. I could have sworn that South African accent was Ninja from Die Antwoord and Chappie. There's a during credit and post credit scene for those that wonder if you want to wait through the credits. Turns out it was the director, if you want to laugh, check out his movie What We Do In Shadows.
  4. 15 part Murky World series. https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/10/23/richard-corben-heavy-metal-magazine/
  5. Just read that Richard Corben is doing a big series, the first time with H M in 20 years.
  6. Looking forward to seeing Thor: Ragnarok starring Cate Blanchett looking just like Eva Green. Marvel, Why not just put Eva Green in the role?
  7. Odd, I hadn't heard about this coming out last month. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/086166261X/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 EDIT: Strange, but Amazon.com changed it from having been released in September to now going to be released next year.
  8. Watched a Polish musical (oh, that’s odd) about a pair of man-eating Mermaid sisters that get jobs at a strip club and sing in a band. No, I’m not kidding. The Lure (2015).
  9. I'm a big Virgin Suicides fan also, enjoy Sofia's body of work. Saw The Beguiled in the theaters. Dunst is a favorite also.
  10. Seems nobody visits here anymore, but if you do you might want to order Mark Beyer's first new book in 12 years. Only 200 signed copies so it'll probably go fast. No link, do a little searching...
  11. Yes, 2 replicants produced one daughter, that was stated. It was explained in the movie (I believe a couple times) that she was in the bubble due to her not being able to go outside for a reason. "...an auto-immune deficiency prevented her from travel and forced her to live in a sealed off chamber." otherwise she would have been off world. Looks like you missed that during the movie.
  12. Anybody notice how Chinese characters are so prevalent in L.A. in the future in Blade Runner? I read it's implied that the Chinese population becomes the dominate culture in L.A. in the future and that's why you see it all over (I believe there are actually Chinese characters on K's license plate which means it's not just a portion of L.A. like Chinatown).
  13. I've heard good things on this so this view is not expected. Those that appreciated Mother! probably would like it more. I've heard terrible things about Dunst's new Woodshock with people having no idea what it's about after seeing it.
  14. I hadn't heard this, but it did est. over $12M on Friday and is expected to do $50M+ this long weekend seems to be more than on track? http://www.boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/
  15. Yes, that's some amazing trivia we happened to post at nearly the same time. Are you a replicant?
  16. Fans of the Blade Runner movie, did you know that the movie Soldier (1998) with Kurt Russel, takes place in the same shared universe, as does the Alien series (as mentioned "Eldon Tyrell" in Prometheus). Blade Runner, Blade Runner (1997 "sidequel" video game that tells a parallel story of rookie blade runner Ray McCoy that intersects with the original film), Blade Runner 2049, Soldier, Prometheus, Alien: Covenant, Alien, Aliens (there was a 2013 video game called Aliens: Colonial Marines that was a sequel to Aliens, but doesn't fit with the continuity of the series), Alien 3, Alien Resurrection (also there's a 2014 video game called Alien: Isolation that's story revolved around Ripley's daughter Amanda). Also, the AVP series brought in the Predator series into that shared universe (but not the same continuity). The Predator (prequel coming 2018), Predator, Predator 2, Predators, Alien vs. Predator, and Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. That's a lot of marathon viewing...
