  1. If moving forward large quantities start doing it every one of their subs that gets opened that day shafts one person that was already in line. There must be enough of something going on to take over two calenders months to open boxes.
  2. I think what the gist is here is why isn't the prioritized stuff pulled, the box resealed and put in line behind everyone else's? Why is that order that has nothing to do with Ex or Wk getting pushed ahead of everyone else who's had stuff sitting there unopened for months? 42 business days of standard order unopened, yet seeing this post. What kind of impression do you think that leaves. What happens when everyone sends in 1 Ex or Wk card to get their order opened faster shoving everyone that didn't farther and farther back in the line.
  3. I've had to send a few to SGC, because they're the only people with decent turnaround. Sells haven't been that bad, what I miss in % I make up in volume. I'm just thankful they don't hoard my cards.
  4. That's like the '60 Mantle I had returned for being oversized by about 1/8". How the hell does a company of this size only have one holder?!?! Shouldn't they have known going in that not all cards are the same size even from the factory??? No other company seems to have that issue. Unreal, absolutely unbelievable.
  5. Also take into consideration grading in bulk is near a calendar year to get your cards back.
  6. I agree, doesn't look like FIFO really applies much here. I'm plagued with regret even sending my last order. I thought they were doing a decent job a few months ago. What a fool I was 😂
  7. Because he had WK in the box. Must be nice. My standard has been delivered since 4/2 and still not opened. Rage inducing, takes everything in me daily not call CS line and rage like a maniac.
  8. I wouldn't grade unless you're selling tbh. Just have to look up the current sold listings on eBay for whatever cards you're interested in selling. Compare condition of the card to the ones sold. Energy cards... "Collector".... Hmmm. That what people are calling them nowadays?
  9. If you sent in Standard/Econ/Bulk, with an EX your other stuff was "received" at the same time. Doesn't really play much of a factor in bulk time, but for standard sure. Yes, because your package is opened first and the cards are "received". Look at the turnaround time thread. People sending standard in with one express, their cards get logged and done pretty fast compared to two months of not even having boxes opened for others. The same mess people have done with PSA for ages.
  10. Ex and WK you mark the box so it gets prioritized in the opening line.
  11. I'd imagine this route but probably a combination of all the above. It's not like they can't ease up if they go to heavy handed on something. You can only get through so many cards in a given day. Why hoard everyone's cards with no cancelations or bumps in tier? Only people that benefit from that is the company by locking in your money regardless of how long it takes to complete. I saw where someone said they sent in like 3k cards. I can't imagine anyone on the planet has that many cards worth grading in their possession.
  12. What kind of wildly_fanciful_statement is this. Like they don't already charge enough, and offer zero protection to sellers. They're really going to charge for capital letters. I know they already charge a stupid amount for a subtitle. Sounds like a joke, but hard to tell knowing eBay. 🤣
  13. I'm not trying to 💩 on the man but I know what you're referring to. I've looked at it more in the sense that I don't think some people on here realize how deep others are into the cards. Hard to appreciate someone else's viewpoint without being in the same position. Most of the time it's people just grading a few PC cards, and in their position turnaround probably isn't super important. I know I'm way, way more chill about getting my PC stuff graded when I do, which is rare. If it's not going to be sold, what difference does it make how long it takes. When it comes to things I'm trying to liquidate I don't have a lot of patience for TAT constantly getting pushed back every time I near the deadline. Been a major issue for me on the TCG grading. The time was like 25 days on my last sub for standard, then moved to 48. Now sitting at 40 business days and the package still isn't opened and estimated time is now 65 days. It's infuriating, stressful, and any plans I had for securing other products has disappeared. It's cost me quite a bit of money on opportunities I've had to pass up. Get the feeling they don't look at it this way.
  14. What would you call sending 1 express to get bulk and stuff received in a fraction of the time? 😂
  15. Somehow I missed this. If it's your first experience with any company, what do you have to compare it to. You said you hate SGC and PSA in another thread? You think other people complain a lot? It's because grading is a corner stone of reselling cards and some of us have hundreds of cards totalling thousands of dollars. Sending 10 cards in from your PC is way different than trying to move thousands of dollars of merchandise and having it locked down for an unknown time. If you were paying $3k to grade $18k worth of cards it's a totally different scenario than $200 for 10 PC cards. That's why turnaround times need to be somewhat accurate and people complain about them being all over the place. To some people it's a business, and when you start screwing around with other people's money, and life it really isn't that funny. Not trying to be a person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed by saying this, but for some of us it's a totally different scenario in which were depending on a company to provide a service.
  16. I would think they would know how many cards they also clear in a day. If it's 3k/4k/5k etc. I don't understand why the lack of trying to match orders to output unless it's simply to lock in as much money as possible at the expense of the customers. Jack prices through the roof, get TAT back under control, then ease it up until the sweet spot. I wasn't sweating it much when they were two weeks behind opening mail. Two months though??? I'm not a big submitter, but by the time everything is done I'll have spent 3-4k on grading between CGC and CSG. The time isn't even the biggest issue to me. I could have done things differently if I knew the times going in, and *might* still have been able to make it work. As it stands, puts me in a real f*cked up situation, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's the principle behind it. Feeling like I got baited into using them based off of the "estimates". Close? No problem. 300% difference when I'm trying to keep my money flowing? Major problem. Can't have a bunch of cards tied up for an indeterminate amount of time, and they don't allow bumping or canceling now which wasn't the case when submitted. I personally don't grade PC cards unless it's like a 500+ card, and even then I don't always do it. Just throw my cards in binders, as I see grading as a service that's for selling. I don't really need my cards in a slightly more sophisticated case with a number on it. Maybe a lot of people do grade their entire PC? With grading being for selling purposes TAT is an important factor that shouldn't be allowed to balloon like this.
  17. Go back a month or two and they said TAT starts when packages are received not delivered. It's not that hard to see why people are confused when they've been told one thing for months, then had it changed up on them.
  18. Sure they can, just be so annoying that it's easier to send them back than to keep answering your calls. Works practically everywhere.
  19. I don't remember what the weights are supposed to be for older packs, but a lot of the time older packs have holos if heavier. I want to say it's like a .5-1 gram difference.
  20. To each his own. For someone that sells a lot in eBay, turnaround is what's paramount to me. The 10 GEM Select silver Burrow I just sold got me $250 in the pocket in a week vs a 9.5 in 6 months if I would've used CSG. It's not possible for me to continue this with no cash flow, and that's where CGC and CSG have put me. I think they have a good product, don't get it twisted, but with the current turnaround I can't have all of my stuff trapped with them and PSA. I have to use whoever can get my mess in and out.
  21. SGC completed my last sub a week ago in 3 days. I liked the interview with their president. He seems self aware of his previous failure at anticipating volume and honest. They're really stepping it up.
