  1. They charge when it goes I to scheduled for grading. With current turn around it shouldn't be for many months.
  2. No one is definitively laying fault to one or the other. There are only two possible ways this went down. Either he didn't label the box correctly and it didn't get sorted or they missed it. If he didn't label properly then he is responsible for the delay. If they missed it, they are responsible. From your response it seems that you don't think it would be an issue if they were responsible even though the faster "received" time is a large part of the service. Effectively paying double for a service that will then take longer than the tier below it. If the fault is theirs your comments seem to imply that it's unfortunate for the customer but there shouldn't be any culpability for the company.
  3. I'm not saying it's their fault, I'm just working off of what you said. "It is their job to do their best in adhering to their practices. As a rule, they do. As with all rules, there are exceptions." If it was an exception, that would imply that they were at fault and that the box was correctly marked and missed. Otherwise the EX/WK rule wouldn't apply if it was improperly marked. While it might not be close to standard it would still take longer than a properly logged express that would have been roughly half the price. If upon reaching his package they realized they missed it, should there be compensation for the delay?
  4. I'm sure they've missed packages that were clearly marked. Mistakes are always made everywhere. Whether or not his was clearly marked is questionable but as a generalization I'm sure they've missed some at one point or another. To disregard that the delay in receiving is a huge factor in the walkthrough process is somewhat asinine. How so? It directly relates to what you said in regards to doing your best. It's an example that of when selling a product or service you still have some level of accountability to the customer. I'm applying what you said to a similar scenario. Following that line of thinking my excuse should have been as follows, "I was listing hundreds of cards and missed pulling one out of the stack so you're just going to have to live with it. I did my best." As long as you do your best to hell with the result, no? Surely they don't want what they pay for, they just want a best effort! 👍 "It is their job to do their best in adhering to their practices. As a rule, they do. As with all rules, there are exceptions."
  5. Never said they specifically need to cater to resellers. As far as how many packages they get only they have the ability to control that. I up on a card. I had multiple of said card, and the one I sent out was viciously off center. I normally remove cards like that as they are worth significantly less than a well centered card. Upon reviewing the picture it was clear I was in error by ever shipping it. Should I not be held accountable? Should I tell the buyer that "You received a card of that player, tough mess". I did my best to adhere to my practice of removing them. I simply missed one so it was an exception to the rule of me pulling them out, so the fault should lie with them for purchasing?
  6. Intentionally no, but without any of us seeing the package we don't know how clearly the box was marked or who fault lies with. I resell cards so maybe it makes me more sympathetic to their plight. It's become a rather difficult juggling act as it is without unnecessary delays popping up. If I sent in an order of let's say 10 cards in the $400 range. I might be able to guess conservatively 5 days to get logged received, 10 days to be completed. 15 business days total. Id even be allowing extra in excess to current times. I have a timeframe of when I'm expecting those to come back and be sold. If you throw in an extra 30 business days to get marked as received thats $4k + grading fees now tied up for an additional 20-30 business days. It makes it almost impossible to accurately judge what to do. You have to keep money coming in, but you're simultaneously at the mercy of another business. A lot of the reason I think people get heated is there is already enormous pressure on those of us reselling to be able to keep the wheels spinning and money coming in. With PSA down even a lot of the big consignment businesses are sweating.
  7. Yes and no. It should get the walkthrough treatment once opened but a big part of WK is being able to get it received faster (normally a few days instead of a month) as well. Normally people are sending it in to get the fastest TAT possible and if it's chilling in the pile with other orders that's a brutal delay.
  8. Think about what you just wrote for a second. If it didn't matter, why would they have us marking our boxes with EX or WK
  9. CGC is backlogged pretty bad at the moment. I doubt they will take on any other cards, Marvel, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc anytime soon.
  10. I haven't run into that issue sending subs in, but I have that issue with eBay sales. Misses the first few scans and won't get one until delivered. From what I got he's concerned about it not getting a delivery scan from USPS. I'm imagining they're probably rolling whole bins up in there so when they scan the bin if it missed the previous one it won't get marked.
  11. I'm thinking he's being sarcastic, referring to Robert, Bohm, Ball, Edwards etc. Hot now, but by the time you get the cards back they might be worthless.
  12. I'm currently selling off the bulk I just got back. This is the one time I'm alright and was planning them taking their sweet time to open them as I should have all of this sold by the time it goes into grading. I normally send an EX with it if I'm in a hurry. Same thing as PSA, one EX order and ship FedEx where it's straight to the warehouse. 😂 I was under the impression that they opened your standard immediately since you didn't mention a WK.
  13. Im really lost on how some people's orders get marked received almost immediately and others don't. My standard was delivered 4/2 still not marked in system. Wonder if the pile is so big they've begun doing Last in/First out. What shipping service did you use?
  14. I'd it was marked as received on 1/16 and it's an economy order, you're probably going to be waiting a while yet.
  15. eBay. 😂 I've sold stuff on there for 11 years now I think. Not sure about comic people but mostly dealing in trading cards you get a lot of scumbags. Open packs and hit you with a INAD, switch cards with damaged ones and keep yours. Even had some try to crack slabs and swap. Sports card collectors aren't as bad. I've sold $400 raw Mantles/Aarons etc that the buyer purchases, leaves feedback, and transaction is flawless. I think a lot of it has to do with the age of the customers. Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh people tend to be younger and cause infinitely more headaches. You deal with that enough times and begin to just expect someone trying get you at every turn. Sellers used to do a lot of shady mess too, so just a lot of distrust on the platform in general in my opinion.
  16. Might be a possibility. My 12/11 just got delivered back to me. Considering standard and above paying their way in front of you, it probably just depends on the subs they receive.
  17. Find it kind of odd usps wouldn't have marked it delivered unless they missed scanning it before it was binned. 🤔
  18. Just out of curiosity, did you scroll down this page at all?
  19. Strange, I have one delivered April 2nd that hasn't been marked received so that isn't unusual as they're about a month behind on opening mail. I'm surprised your second sub got logged that fast. Not sure about the post office not saying delivered. I'd call customer service.
  20. Was the second sub WK or EX and the first one standard or below?
  21. Are you using the tracking to see if they have it via the submission page? It's not currently functional if so.
  22. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/97-cgc-trading-cards/ This will probably give you a good idea on how this is going to play out. They tend to ignore any questions like this, or anything of any importance.
