  1. Do I get magic dust residue in the holders with every submission? Might be worth it.
  2. Funny, cause that's what I thought before I actually clicked on it. Their slabs look like dog 💩. Can't imagine anyone would pay them.
  3. Turn around is the same for the same price but people have actually heard of the company. That's like sending cards to ISA. Think they've been around for a few years but no one buys the slabs.
  4. That's a lot of money, assuming they get back to you before the market poops out.
  5. Just out of curiosity. Why you wouldn't go SGC for that price.
  6. 140, with another like 70 with CSG. Just out of curiosity what are you getting graded🤔
  7. So far my shipments have been through FedEx with sig, and they've sent registered mail through USPS which also requires it. I'd assume yes for all carriers.
  8. Generally speaking it's not that they have a bad product or that the grades are bad. Slabs look nice, and I try to look everything over under 2x mag LED lamp before I sub and they catch things I dont on my cards. I think most if it stems from the long turnaround and they could be a little more upfront about what their plans are and how long it's really going to take.
  9. Yes, that came off as rather snide. They only added that little bit a few weeks ago. I had an order I was planning on bumping as delays became more apparent. Was delivered 4/2 but still hasn't made it through receiving so never had the opportunity to bump before policy change.
  10. I honestly had high hopes for them. They came in after everyone else burned out, and had the opportunity to take advantage of seeing where the other companies went wrong. It's very disappointing to say the least. If they could have just kept the turnaround under control I would be giving them practically everything I could. Realistically I just can't, as I have to keep cash flow going and turnaround exceeds price on the priority list. I can resell more expensive cards to deal with a higher grading fee. There's no where I can adjust my strategy to compensate for long turnaround.
  11. To be honest, I've subbed some sub $20 cards so I'm not helping the situation(maybe like 30 of a 100 card sub). I think my last order consisted of a bunch of 1960-63s Topps MLB, Lamelos, Edwards, Burrows, autos around the $20-30 range, and #'d cards. I wouldn't have any ill will towards the company if they started pricing that stuff out though. It would suck for some of the other cards I'm betting on to pop off but if that's what they have to do to control subs I would understand. I'd rather be able to grade the stuff I really NEED to grade in a reasonable time than to be able to grade a lot of stuff at a reasonable price.
  12. I didn't realize they were holding orders now. They told me back in March the holders would be available in April but sent the card back to me with an oversized label. Guess that means it's not time to resub that card. That's rough that your entire order is held up over a few cards. That's rough bro, hopefully they actually get it done soon.
  13. PSA closing subs is a big issue that I'm sure threw everyone for a loop. It blew my mind that they didn't really seem to acknowledge that. Then when I saw the price increase I was shocked. I couldn't believe it was so small. PSA isn't special to me. I've seen some questionable 10s come from them and then you have the whole thing with people buying their cards, trimming, and resubbing through the same consignment company. They're dirty. Unfortunately they offer some services that no one else does like pack grading. At some point people began caring more about the number on the slab instead of the card inside. I'd take a 9.5 BGS or CGC card over PSA 10 any day.
  14. Yeah, at least at the time I submitted back in Nov I think it's $300ish total for the 10. Not cheap, but not bank breaking.
  15. In this case I think I overestimated their ability to have situational awareness. If you look at HGA, regardless of their grading they only take subs equal to what they can pump out. Quick turnaround. SGC jacked price up, and is actively playing with the price with a current turnaround of 20-25 days according to the sub I did yesterday. CSG? They watched what happened to every other company, didn't take notes and buried themselves in cards. Now they're months behind on opening mail, turn around is through the roof, they're holding cards hostage, and people are getting mad. Seems like a cash grab to me. Get as many subs as possible in while the market is hot regardless of it taking a year or more to do them. Screw the customer, just lock in that money. That's not to say they couldn't turn it around, but I kept thinking why not prevent this instead of having to deal with the fallout. As they say, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Not only will they have to scramble to try to get a grip on subs that they have, but I'm sure they've lost some repeat business over this by burning customers. People expecting 3 calendar month turnaround now looking at possibly double or triple that.
  16. PSA. I have about 10 there at the moment. Better strap in for a long wait though.
  17. This. Their selling point was speed. The resell isn't there, no registry, etc. With that gone, no reason to use the service. Wait as long or longer for a lower resell when you're sending them in expecting faster turnaround to compensate for lower price with volume.
  18. I'm not sure that the prices were high enough. There's a sweet spot in terms of card prices that once you get above $20 cards are fewer and father between. If the minimum was $20-25 a card I could see where it would cut a lot of the bulk out. A lot of sub $20 cards get graded with a resell of $40-50. If they could eliminate those with a price point where the return was the near the same as the raw value + grading fee I think it would go a long way towards really cutting back on some of the stuff that's sent in. Could be wishful thinking but that's just what I've noticed from prices in terms of selling, from the cards I deal with and a lot of the listings I see from other sellers.
  19. To some degree. Sports cards are on a whole different level than pokemon though.
  20. People are just getting too wild and stupid with it. It's decent money but not worth getting locked up. I don't understand the thought process some people have going on.
  21. They told me it would go back to my card, but ended up as a credit. So watch out for that as well.
