  1. I've sold lots of comics to overseas and occasionally one will take a long time to get there. As everyone has said, communication is key. I've worked out who the seller is and I know pretty much nothing about them. The best thing to do is to make sure that you know exactly when you lose the option to start a paypal dispute and make sure that you open one the day before that option runs out, the dispute can always be cancelled if the book turns up. I find the lack of replies and excuses against providing a tracking number to be a worry.
  2. I agree with Phil, any parcel can be delayed in the post but it's the lack of response to the tracking number request that's the worry. I think you should PM the seller saying only "the parcel is taking longer than expected, please provide me with the tracking number immediately so that I can see what is happening with it". If he avoids answering the question this time then maybe you should start considering getting your money back. Is it a newbie on the boards that you've purchased from?
  3. Who else was selling besides Incognito?
  4. I think that's why there are different sellers at Kapow to Supercon, the Kapow sellers can't compete with a lot of the sellers at Supercon
  5. Whizzer uses LEC so you could PM him for info. The guy who runs it was my LCS owner for several years and he's a very nice guy. Nothing bad to say about him.
  6. Hey Adam, I have been using Comicana's standing order / Pull list / subscriptions service for too many years now. What is it you would like to know? They do have business permises which you can arrange to visit to look at their books. If you want anything, all you do is email John - this includes changes etc. They deliver once a month - I know that's a bit of a pain, but you can ask if they will deliver weekly - I know that when I started, John said they only post monthyl. Any issues with comics - just contact John and he will sort the best he can. Packaging - utterly bullet proof - never a complaint. If I have missed anything ask away. Cheers, Brian Thanks for this Brian. I'm interested in their prices for comparison with APiS (assume they have a different price point for each dollar cover price). Are their business premises in London? That would be really useful for the purposes of subbing books to CGC through them, which is the main thing I'm interested in using them for. Appreciate the info - I've been told I should contact Nick through the boards, so I will do that too. Yes, Nick's your man. They are just north of London, Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. EDIT - for price, I will need to get home and I can let you know from my last invoice. PM me if you still need this information. They're just off of junction 20 of the M25 and John is around and about in London a lot. I've been getting my subs from them for the last few years and I highly recommend them.
  7. That Borders display is brilliant, wish I had one.
  8. I'm an online comic shop that's not online yet. You need a... No more like C'mon Gaz before I end up looking like this I'm working on it, I'm working on it. Been scanning, grading, bagging, boarding and pricing for most of this week.

  10. That's like telling water not to be wet. I do agree though. Harold thrives on the attention, I can only assume he lives a very dull life. Hey Gaz, how's tricks? Hey Phil. I'm not bad, mate. Hope life's treating you well.
  11. I think that the main reason that mutants are feared and hated in the Marvel universe is because they are seen as the next step in human evolution and perceived to be a different species that will replace the existing humanity. Some humans have been portrayed as hating mutants as they believe it is a fight for the survival of their species. This is contrary to people who were normal humans but just got enhanced by gamma rays, radioactive spiders or mouldy bread as they are not seen as a separate species. Oh and Hercules is an Olympian rather than Asgradian and there are lots of other pantheons of "gods" in the MU which are most frequently seen in Thor comics. The Egyptian "gods" have been seen a bit and one of them gave Moon Knight his abilities.

  13. At the end of the day, does it matter if they placed a bid in the last few seconds manually or using software? The result is the same. Moral of the story is bid higher if you're willing to pay that much.
  14. Looks a risky one to me, mate. Chances of decent grading are slim, I blew the picture up but it was to blurry to make much out from it. The # 4 & 6 look to be pence copies from it. Wasn't sure if there was a big chip out of the spine of the # 6. Let us know how it goes.
  15. How's it going Gaz? Hope all's well mate. (thumbs u Things aren't too bad at the moment, thanks mate. Hope things are OK with you. You've been selling most of your books then? I've sold a fair few but there are still hundreds to go. There are probably about 30 or so I won't sell, and I'll look to pick up maybe five or six in future but that will be it for the foreseeable. I'm still a bit pissed off that I won't be completing Batman from #100 - present, but the money's needed much more urgently for much more important things right now. A few keys here and there in decent grade will keep me happy, but I won't be aiming for a full run again. If only I'd held on to my complete Walking Dead run until now... Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I know that you're not the only person wishing they hadn't sold WD before now. Then again there will be people who will be wishing they'd sold now after the bubble bursts. There'll be time in the future to rebuild your Batman run to completeness, if you're going to take the long term view then at least you can wait for bargains to surface.

  19. Sam, there's a slight bit of top staple wear, a few speckles of foxing along the top of the back cover, and the scan flash (the book is in a Mylite2) conceals a couple of very small color breaking horizontal wrinkles along the very top edge. Again, just the perfect book for me - presents nicer than its technical grade, has nice interiors, and at the right price. I love it. STEVE It presents very nicely, congrats on a great purchase.
  20. He's our Hershel.... remember to head their during a Zombie Apocalypse. Beating zombies is a piece of . All you have to do is drive round in a tractor and squash them all. Combine harvester would be better Mowing them down with the combine harvester would be so cool.
