  1. Looking for help, and this is the best place to get it. I'm trying to assemble a complete collection of books where Miller works on Daredevil, whether story, cover, etc. Some are obvious, others not so much. I'm collecting re-prints where they have new original art, such as Spider-man and Daredevil 1, which reprints 27-28 but has a new cover. I would love it if anyone would chime in with any that I've missed. Here what I'm aware of so far: Main DD run 158-191 Second DD run 219, 226-233 DD 600 (regular and sketch covers) DD 1 (11/23, regular and virgin covers) DD 8 (6/24, regular and virgin covers, mis-print and fixed) Man Without Fear 1-5 SSM 27, 28, 300 (regular and sketch variants) What If? 28, 35 Spider-man and Daredevil 1 (reprints SSM 27, 28) Marvel Team-up Annual 4 Marvel Fanfare 1 Daredevil Chronicles #nn Marvel Age 127 Marvel Age 1000 (Miller Variant) Appreciate it!
  2. I wanted to post this one because I love the sig placement. I was up with my son, I was making window bags to submit the books and he was building legos. He came up with the idea to have the two sigs running down the barrels and I love it.
  3. The 168 was graded at a 9.8, blue label. I sent it in for sigs and it held. It was a huge relief. It was the same with the 163 - that one's really expensive and really hard to find, so when it held I was so relieved. I bought the 169 as you see it. I've got another one that Frank and Klaus signed that's with CGC right now. I bought that one raw so really hoping that one hits.
  4. Absolutely love these two Miller classics. Love even more that I bought them both raw!
  5. I'm glad I found this thread! My main collecting focus is Daredevil, and the Miller/Janson books got me into comics in the first place back when I was 10 years old. Now I'm going after every Miller Daredevil cover signed in a 9.8. I've nearly got all the books I know of, so if anyone knows of any rare or "under the radar" books, please let me know! I'm going to post a number of books, but thought I'd start with this one since, even though it's not DD, it's Miller's first professional art. A cool little detail - a couple of pages before Miller's first professional art, in this book, is an add for Hostess cherry pies. The star of the ad is - Daredevil! Just a little precursor to the launching of an epic career.
  6. 6.0-6.5 - color breaks all corners - multiple color-breaking creases front cover left side - large color-breaking crease by his left hand on fc - multiple color breaks right side of the front cover - back cover spine tear - back cover tear upper right Should still get a blue label despite the date stamp, though.
  7. Thanks everyone. This is about what I thought. This was labeled by the seller as NM- to NM, and none of the ticks were visible in the photos. This is why I buy from sellers who accept returns!
  8. It is a beautiful book. I'd check with your presser to see what he did. The notes say he cleaned the cover, which usually is reserved for chemical cleaning such as a hydrogen peroxide solution. It's possible to get hit if you overdo an eraser but seems far less likely. If he didn't use chemicals or a solution - which he definitely shouldn't without your permission - consider re-submitting. There are a lot of stories of CGC drawing a conclusion that a cover has been cleaned when it hasn't.
  9. Good luck! By the way, I sent in a book signed by Quesada and Palmiotti, with a daredevil head sketched by Q and inked by P. It came back with the yellow/black label. Very happy with it!
  10. I've had two batches of books move straight from "Received at CCS" to "SFG", skipped "CCS in Process" altogether. I've never seen that before, but it's now happened twice for this signing. So I've now got two batches at "SFG" and two other books "Received at CCS." And the one that I didn't have pressed came back weeks ago.
  11. I think a c&p gets it to a 7.5, possibly 8.0 depending on how much comes out. The things keeping it from doing better are the back cover corner crease and the spine creases toward the bottom on the back. Classic book!
  12. Beautiful copy. It’s hard to get in such a nice grade with all that black. Mine is an 8.5 and doesn’t look this good. I think a press will clean up some of the creases, and I’ll go with 9.4, 9.2 if some of those spine creases break color.
  13. That’s a nice sig with good placement. Really cool thing about that book - a couple pages before Frank’s work is an ad for Hostess cherry pie - featuring Daredevil! I just love that.
  14. Did you guys who have gotten books back already get them pressed? All of the books I submitted that I'm having pressed are still "Received at CCS."
