  1. I've heard that it is not based on that storyline, and it makes sense given the inclusion of Punisher and Echo.
  2. Why no Karen or Foggy? SPOILER ALERT AND GREAT THEORY!!! With photos of the set surfacing, people are speculating why Elden Henson and Deborah Woll aren't coming back as Foggy and Karen. One fan noticed that a church bulletin board had a date of 2021 on it. So it's possible that Born Again takes place during the blip, and that Foggy and Karen were blipped out. Who knows, but it's a good theory.
  3. Punisher would be a huge draw on the big screen. If Disney ever embraces the dark and violent stories that drive characters like the Punisher and DD, they’d be great on the big screen because they’d pull in the older audiences. The Punisher on Netflix was fantastic, and I’d love to see it on the big screen.
  4. Putting together a show like this with a big cast requires some changes, just because of actors’ schedules. I don’t know if that happened here, but I know Wohl wanted to come back. Have to assume they’ll be recast as it’s hard to see how you could go anywhere near the Born Again storyline without Karen and Foggy. I won’t mind seeing a new Karen.
  5. He won’t get a qualified grade for a signature inside the book. It would only be qualified if it’s submitted with a signature already on the cover.
  6. I have two books signed on the inside first page by Jim Shooter (DD 158 and 168). I submitted them at the same time for through signature series for sigs by Frank Miller. On one of them I didn’t say anything on the submission form, on the other I wrote that the book was signed on the first page. Neither book was qualified, both got straight yellow labels. For the one where I said something on the form, they put “‘Shooter’ written on p. 1”. For the other they didn’t do anything. You’ll get a yellow label for that. And I’ve kept my books even though they’re not the best (8.0 and 9.0) because they were mine when I was 12 yo. So I say get them signed and enjoy them.
  7. You guys were, again, spot on! I have to admit I was really hoping for that 9.0, but I can’t argue with this.
  8. Don’t know that they’re officially not bringing her back, I don’t think there’s been any announcement. That said, at first I didn’t like her casting or Elden Hensen. Hensen grew on my as Foggy, but Wohl never did as Karen. I hope they re-cast Karen - I just don’t buy Wohl as a heroin addicted porn star. Really, really looking forward to this series though! I don’t think they could’ve done a better job with Cox or D’Onofrio, so I’m really glad they’re both back.
  9. DD lovers, I'm a completionist and am trying to get as many DD/Matt Murdock appearances as possible for my collection. I've done a lot of work and have a bunch, but they're not always easy to find. Please feel free to throw out the most obscure/hidden/unknown DD/Murdock appearances in other books as you can think of. Much appreciated!
  10. As they say, in with the old and in with the new! I'm fired up to add these to my collection.
  11. Thanks for your posts. I’m reading the new CGC grading book, and it addresses this very question. It sounds like having white pages won’t bump an otherwise lower grade, but having browned pages will hurt the grade. Specifically it says: - A comic must have at least off-white to get a 9.8, and if it’s off-white it won’t get a 9.9 - A comic with Light Tan to Off-White will cap out at 8.5 - A comic with Tan to Off-White will cap out at 7.5 - A comic with Slightly Brittle will cap out at 6.5 - A comic with Brittle will cap out at 3.5
  12. Beautiful spine. Agree that if the smudges clean up it’s a 9.6, possible 9.8 depending on how they handle the front cover lrc.
  13. That’s a really nice copy. Looks 8.5 as-is, maybe 9.0 after C&P depending on how many of those minor spine ticks go away. Great book!
  14. Yes, that’s what I was talking about. My presser thinks it’s a production issue - that it’s actually some kind of fold/crease that’s native to the paper itself. But obviously it’s hard to say. It doesn’t break color but also didn’t come out with the press.
  15. Agree - great candidate for a C&P. After it's likely 7.5, maybe an 8.0 depending on how much of the scuff on the back cover comes out.
  16. Beautiful copy! I have this book myself - and I love your reference to "Elecktra" being misspelled. Looks like a good candidate for C&P, as I think the 15P and back cover might clean up a bit. Mine also has the smudge across the lighting by Elektra's belt - that's a production issue that is fairly common with this book. The spink looks great, but there's a crease/small tear above DD's "D", so I'll go with a 9.2+/-. Great book!
  17. Appreciate all your expertise! Toward the bottom of all the pics is a shot of the cover where I tried to show you a crease. I honestly think that’s in the original paper, but I’ll leave it to the experts to decide what to do with it. Thanks again!
  18. Is there anything I can do, or just be bummed out? I had a slabbed book, 9.8. I sent it in to CGC to be signed by the artist, and it came back as a 9.6. I know you always run that risk, but it was slabbed when I sent it to them. There are no grader's notes so I don't know what happened to knock it down. Is it worth sending it back in to be graded again?
  19. Appreciate your expertise. Should mention - the cover is torn from the bottom of the spine up to almost the bottom staple, though the cover is firmly attached. Thanks!
  20. The grade is in and you all were spot on! Thanks for grading!
