  1. I was thinking about: - Large crease on the back cover - non-color breaking creases on the spine, particularly in the white "startling new job" box - creasing on the fc in upper right corner - also seems like cleaning would help a lot on the back cover, and in the white areas of the fc
  2. Love your thoughts! I’ll definitely send it for a C&P before grading.
  3. My 2 and 5 are pretty beat up. I’ll want to upgrade them soon, 5 will be tough though since I’ve had it since I was 14
  4. 8.5 mostly because of the chipping at top of the fc, could press up though.
  5. That looks like a 2.0, but I think it could clean up a bit - maybe 3.0. Good luck!
  6. Thanks all - I appreciate it. I sent it in for grading with a ccs press, so feel free to put your “pressed” grade and I’ll post when it’s back.
  7. They’re back, up and running again. Mine had the same message but now they’re showing up.
  8. I submitted a DD 158 for the Miller/Janson signing. I had the book signed by Jim Shooter at a show when I was a kid - he wrote his name on the bottom of the first page, not on the cover. Any idea how much that will lower the grade? Sorry I can’t post photos, it’s with CGC. Just wondering how much the Shooter sig will drop the grade.
  9. I submitted a DD 158 for the Miller/Janson SS signing. I had the book signed by Jim Shooter when I was a kid - he wrote his name on the bottom of the first page, not on the cover. Any idea how much that will lower the grade? Sorry I can’t post photos, it’s with CGC. Just wondering how much the Shooter sig will drop the grade.
  10. I submitted a DD 158 for the Miller/Janson ss event. I had the book signed by Jim Shooter when I was a kid - he wrote his name on the bottom of the first page, not on the cover. Any idea how much that will lower the grade? Assume it’s a 7.5 or so without the Shooter sig.
  11. Agreed. Covid is impacting prices on a lot of high-end keys - will be interesting to see whether it holds after the world returns to normal.
  12. Thanks fellas. I’m not a dealer, I just collect for myself. I love this in my collection, so I’m going to get it cleaned and pressed. If it goes up that’s great, but I’m not doing it for the grade. Thanks again.
  13. Considering having it pressed and re-slabbed because I’m guessing it would help with the spine roll. I’m just not sure whether it would be worth it? Love thoughts - thanks!
  14. I bought an older book in a slab - ASM 16 - and it’s pretty badly rolled. It’s a 5.5, so not too bad otherwise. I’m considering getting it re-slabbed, and having it pressed. I get the sense that will help but would love input. Thanks.
  15. Thanks. I’d definitely be open to that if it were a $100 book, but for the kind of money this guy wants I’d think he’d do it himself. I wouldn’t risk dropping that much and then being told by CGC they won’t change the label.
