Hi Vodou, I guess there is a nuance. Typically, unless the item is only a couple of hundred, I would only buy 1K+ - 10K items if I felt it was undervalued (what I feel and reality is different). And with today's pricing trends, if I felt it was undervalued, I would pounce (as would many others) If it was at fair value and it sits, there I can't psychologically spend 1K+ on it. Plus, if it starts to sit there long, I start to think that it's overpriced. Malvin

Actually, other than the item in the upper tier, if it was something I wanted , I would have bought it already. If I didn't buy it, I didn't want it! Now if it was re-framed as a wish list in those items (e.g. I would buy if it turns up). Maybe I can come up wth something. Even then it won't be the full list. Often I only know I want it when I see it, I don't make a want list. Malvin

I bid on the Alpha Flight cover, purely out of nostalgia and not Nowlan. Although knowing it was Nowlan and the likely price the cover would go for, my snipe was higher (I would argue beyond what I would normally pay) I was competitive but still about 10-20% off from the final price. Malvin

This has happened to me twice, although I can't recall what the second piece was! (But I knew it happened twice). In both cases, I bought it back for less what what I sold it for and sold it again The one I do remember was an EVS Green Lantern Rebirth page that I bought from Spencer during one of his sales. Someone asked about it on CAF and I sold it. Then a few months later, I saw it listed on ebay with a really bad scan (small and unfocused) with a starting price at ~60% of the price I sold it at. I was the only bidder. Then a few months later I sold it again Malvin

agreed for the most part, except you have to realize that with auctions (and any sale venue I suppose) there are always outliers, and the trick is understanding what is an outlier and what isn't. Malvin
