  1. A restorer can fix that, I would guess ~$150 a page or so, plus shipping back and forth. But I haven't had something restored in a few years. Malvin

  4. heh, that is like saying a girl isn't attractive after you take away her looks and personality! Malvin
  5. If a seller refuses to sell, you can leave a negative, at least that was the way it was before. Ebay can't allow sellers to refuse to sell without some sort of consequence (even a negative) otherwise it would all fall apart. Malvin
  6. hmm.. I'm surprised you can't. Unless you accepted the cancellation. I don't think you have to accept the cancellation. Malvin
  7. You can't force him to sell. But you could leave a negative The id looked familiar, I previously bought underpriced art from him because it was in the wrong category Malvin
  8. heh, that plus one. that was about recalling their first comic. I have a good memory, but I can't recall my first comic either. Even if I did, not sure if it would have more nostalgic pull (and pull of my hobby budget) compared to comics that I read when I was older that I had a more profound impact on me (e.g. Frank Miller's DD man without fear mini with JR JR) Malvin
  9. I posted this in the OA forum, and I pretty much only go to cons or art (and also pretty much to only Vancouver) so here is my haul: 1. Zeck/Beatty Punisher! (and its my 5th one!) 2. 10. Hi Folks, I can't travel to many cons these days (yay fatherhood..) and my collection is in a state that I don't need to add a lot to it, but since there is now a decent size con in my hometown, I had to go and get whatever art I can! My haul is: 1. Zeck/Beatty Punisher! (and its my 5th one!) 2. Kaare Andrews Immortal Iron Firsts Cover (my 10th! Kaare Andrews cover!) 3. Animal Man Commission by Tom Grummett! (one of 2 pencillers on the Grant Morrison Animal Man run) 4. Pat Broderick Captain Marvel Commission (my 1st Captain Marvel from him) 5. Colin Lorimer Judge Dredd vs. Judge Death (my 1st ever piece from him) Link to CAF recent uploads Thanks for looking Malvin

  12. I forgot to ask Kevin, but does anyone know when the con is next year? I assume it's remembrance day weekend again? Malvin
  13. and Thanks for bringing comic guests Kevin! See you at the show today Malvin
  14. ha ha, no offence at all. That's why I did the smiley face emoticon! I thought you were in with the lingo and could read my intent Malvin
  15. ouch! one of those is mine! But I'll state my intent clearly. If something in my gallery is marked as "NFS.. but it never hurts to ask", its basically something that I am not actively selling, but would be willing to sell at market. Plain "NFS" is basically not for sale. And while I may still sell if it was "shake the jar loose" pricing, I may still reject offers that are multiples of market. Malvin
  16. you might have broken the letter of the rule but I saw nothing wrong for your approach. I'm the same way although have not overtly acted, many pieces I would be interested in if it was for sale at market, but I'm not about to offer something that would entice someone to sell if they weren't keen on selling. Malvin
  17. Hi Folks, I have 3 items currently at auction on comiclink that are ending tomorrow. The items and current prices are: 1. A Terry Dodson Elektra Convention Commission - $275 - Direct Link 2. 18. I see no issue for it, it's not a permanent alternation in that you can always put the stat back to get it to what was used for publication. I have never done it though. Malvin
  19. yes, I agree, I have noticed that too. The real reason is unknown of course but reasons could include: 1. Other platforms 2. CAF moving the most commented pieces off the main page (due to slow loading) 3. It just takes more to impress people as they have seen lots of great art Malvin
  20. Some workplaces have filters that block "non-work related" sites. and often CAF gets flagged as such. Malvin
  21. Don't forget that the crowd that frequent this boards are more involved and might be more inclined to pay than the masses who are more passive. Malvin
