I had 2 labeling errors on cards and just decided to keep them to not have to wait another 6 months lol. I'll probably send them back to get fixed once things calm down again

What was your labeling errors? Mine was mislabeled as 1999-2000 (4th print). I have a bulk submission at CGC now and when I look at the list of cards they have this site, some of them have symbols and misspellings in the wording.... I'm hoping it doesn't transfer over to the label when they print it out...

All of mine have been accordion cardboard with no protection...  I'd gladly take styrofoam

Yeah me too.... I already had to send one slab back to CGC for a labeling error. It's been a month now just sitting in scheduled for grading.... God for bid I get damaged slabs due cheap packing when shipping is over priced already....what BS

    120 Cards total I got a bunch of 9.5s and 9s but not one 10. 😑

9s and 9.5 are basically PSA 10s. Nice!

    Economy submission - 6 cards

    Delivered 4/2

    Grading/encapsulation 8/10

    Went into QC/Finalized today

    Screenshot_20210910-113800_Chrome.jpg

This moved to Grading/Quality Control? today

    Update 9/14/21

I called and checked on this submission thankfully and there was a hold on this for whatever reason. They took payment right then and there. I also went ahead and pre paid for my Bulk submission to avoid any hiccups again. He said this should ship out within 2 - 3 days.

There does seem to be something going on with mid-february submissions, no? Seems those are the ones getting a delay and March/April is passing them.

This is why I have a theory that CGC is still using two different locations for Grading cards. They still have their old building full of cards from those older months and everything in like Aprilish and onward are at their new location with better equipment, more room, employees etc... just my theory

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for your comment, but I think you misunderstood what I said. I'm not complaining about there being no pop report...I'm saying that there is a person accused of directly manipulating the graded video game market while at WATA who is working for CGC. He (allegedly) did this by exploiting WATA's lack of pop report. The snake that bit someone in the grass over there is in this tall grass we're all standing in (so to speak).

Maybe have a read through what I've written, if you disagree, great! Regardless I'd be interested in what you think. Be it for or against what I've raised, I think its important to be discussed.

And just on the development time you raised, I only raise this because

    1. They already have a database, thus a search query of this database is a few lines of code. Yes there is a user interface that needs to be developed, but this is not a 2 year job in my opinion. You also don't use graders to develop code, its completely independent of the number of submissions, doubly so because is a database (more entries in a database doesnt affect a competently written search query)

    2. The person involved. (Previously mentioned)

    3. Saying your going to release a pop report is not actually releasing a pop report. The same exploitation tactics can, and likely are being used. I hope that putting a little bit of pressure on cgc to release a pop report has the potential to minimise damage to people paying very high prices for things that they wouldn't have if they had known the actual rarity.

CGC, to there credit have not removed my posts...so who knows, maybe I've got this all wrong.

Totally agree with you here. It would not take one person that long to code out a POP report for TCG. They already have a POP report for comics. Why can't they just copy and paste it over to TCG and then clean up the code loose ends?

The longer they take to do this, the more they dig themselves in a hole. For all we know, people at CGC are trying to rig prices on their slabs. (Could be true, could is false) CGC has already built a bad reputation on customer service as they can't even give proper answers to simple questions and are trained to use a copy and paste method to answer questions...

I'm just glad I get to grade my old cards for fun with my son. But after I get my belongings back, I will not be returning to any grading company because this whole experience dealing with cgc, psa etc is just completely ridiculous from TAT, bad customer service, no pop report and the card grading community seems to be a bunch of money hungry freaks trying to flip cards for cash. If that's what people want to do, that's fine with me. I'm just not going down that rabbit hole.

Either CGC doesn't want a TCG pop report so they can manipulate prices when selling, or they have made enough money from customers that they just don't give a damn anymore. Because from my experience with customer service, damaged slabs in shipping and mislabeled slabs, they don't really care about the customer that has made them rich. It's hard to trust ANYTHING they say.... Good luck to everyone and I hope you all get your cards back in good condition with no errors....

Paul? His cover was blown with the coined "glitch" situation. His role was pointless and he didn't have one ounce of info to hand down to us. He is was very good at yes or no questions. "Hey Paul, you guys grade DBS?" / "No." / Hey Paul, you guys open Sunday?" / "No." Beyond that, you might as well go ask a wall for answers. Atleast the wall doesn't make up answers like, "it's a glitch, yeah."

I don't think it was Paul's fault. The company doesn't have a good flow of information from top to bottom, or anywhere. (We still love you Paul).

Funny you say that. In Paul's email signature, it says he is the Director of Product Development. With that title, it seems like he should kind of know wtf is going on in his work place. Lol

I had an economy that moved from that shipped like 3 weeks ago. I would call them and not email.

They will get the same response as they do in emails when they call.... it's pointless to try to get any information on your cards. Even if you have a accounting issue they won't even call you to figure out what's going on. They will just let your cards sit there for months until you call them. CGC customer support is basic at most....

Hi, I'm from Singapore may i know how i can contact customer service ?

I sent an email but no one responded.

Emailing CGC will only result to copy and pasted responses with no real information or help... I cant even get a simple answer to my shipping question....

My man, just because you do something all the time doesn't make it 'legal'. The person above you is right, though I imagine the effort it would take to police every box being used against the terms you accept when you get that 'free' box from the USPS would be too high to make sense. Still, the box is explicitly the property of the USPS, so hope you aren't the 1 out of however many who run afoul of this at some point.

Recently got this slab in a lot I bought..  it is crazy OC and even has the print dot on the bottom right corner.. it got graded a 6 due to the centering but everything else about it is pretty much flawless.. should I submit it to CGC for regrading as a print error card??  Thanks for any input guys... IMG_20210905_120525.thumb.jpg.f2c3b9d4e18af8a19832c431b56455bf.jpg

    IMG_20210905_120604.jpg

If PSA graded this a 6 then CGC will probably grade it 4.5.

Well this is completely false!  Those USPS provided shipping boxes remain the property of the post office and are provided to be used for their labeled purpose.  Not only can you not legally use them to ship with other carriers but you must use the appropriate service level within the post office(priority mail boxes must be used for priority mail, not express or other service levels)

I've been reusing boxes for a few years now with no problems or complaints what so ever from any carrier. Nothing illegal about it. Lol

Has anyone sent in a bulk submission recently? I just stuck mine in the mail today. I expect it to take 8 months to a year to be graded but was curious how long they are taking to check in bulk orders currently.

It should be marked as received/Scheduled for Grading with in a day or two of it arriving at CGC since they are all cought up on opening packages now.

So now its in the usual Grading/QC phase. Really confused by all these new labels.

    Received: 4/5/21
Grading/Encap: (Forgot, It was about 2-3 weeks ago)
    QC/Finalized: 9/3/21

    Grading/QC: 9/7/21

Ikr? As a customer we really don't know what any of this mess means and no one can give a clear answer either.

We need a page that states what week they are on grading for each tier like they did with the opening packages of <enter date here>. This TAT thread is a joke now and no one really post on here anymore anyways besides people complaints...

Well my 2/11 received date economy is still in encapsulation… my 4/2 received economy finalized today.. wth is going on? Almost 2 month difference and it beat my February sub.. and all they say is some copy and paste email response…

I still think they have two different locations still. They have their old location that still has submissions from like March and older and everything else goes to their new building. Just a wild guess

I've watched several Youtube videos and most of them showed the cards in styrofoam with individual slots.  Mine did not come like that.  There was a larger generic box (that was a bit dinged up by Fed-Ex) and inside that were two smaller boxes that seem to be CGC created.  A smaller box can hold a little over 50 cards with slotted cardboard dividing the cards.  There is wiggle room, so when you receive the box it may sound loose, but my cards and cases arrived just fine.  The smaller boxes were "cushioned" inside the generic mailing box with a couple pieces of thick bubble wrap.

You are really lucky non of your slabs got scuff marks on them with this packaging like a lot of people.... I'm worried for when my bulk submission come back they will be damaged.... I'm hoping for the best tho
