  1. A nice cover on this one...its one of those gal reporter "trapped in the zoo after hours" type of story...with a few tweaks, this tale could easily have appeared in an issue of Lois Lane!
  2. Hey John, Congrats on post 7K! That is one of my favorite SA covers as well! Bill
  3. Ahh, I remember those old classifieds...there is something charming about these old hand-written ads... Amazing, this is the first Marnin price listing I've seen in quite some time with books priced under 3 digits!
  4. A few nice issues of TTA in the sunset of the pre-hero era...
  5. I loved those early issues of CMB...Gary Carter (no, not the Mets catcher)...WHERE ARE YOU?>>
  6. Hey Steve, Thats a great cover. It kind of reminds me of this: and this... and a little of this... and maybe some of this... OOPS! How did that nasty Atlas book get in there!!!
  7. Behold puny humans...the sheer might and gawl of GOOM!
  8. One of THE best robot covers...ELECTRO! I think the gray, brown and yellow cover really makes this one stand out!
  9. Um...what's that stain in the upper left corner?
  10. Here are a few TOSs that I finally got around to scanning!
  11. The all too short run of Kirby/Ditko/Heck pre-hero issues... I believe this is the first KDH era giant monster cover:
  12. What was that Z?...didnt quite hear you there...
  13. Here are a few nice late-era pre-heros!
  14. Thank you for that "Lars of Mars" interlude...now back to our regular program of pre-hero Atlas covers!
  15. This issue has RORGG, KING OF THE SPIDER MONSTERS...my favorite pre-hero story! Nice Ditko cover! For some reason, I really like this cover..I like the reprint cover Gil Kane did even better in CREATURES ON THE LOOSE #15!
  16. Wow...I have never seen that cover before..what a beaut!
  17. WOWZERS! Nice books! Only one problem I see... YA GOTS TA TAKE THOSE PUPPIES OUT OF THE SLABS SO THEY CAN BE LOVED!!!! thank you.
  18. Ow..sorry to hear about the PLOD. Those are some nice books though... I love the colors on this one. This was also a tough issue to find. Aye...have a little GROGG matie!
  19. Hi John, Nice haul! After a 15+ years effort, I managed to obtain all the pre-hero books. Looking back, the most difficult issues I recall locating in HG were the following: ST #70, #75, (heck, all of the issues in the #70s are toughf), #97, #100 JIM #50, #51, #58, #64 AA #1, #4 TTA & TOS (issues below 13 in both these titles took many years find) SW #2 WOF #16, #17
  20. Nice cover! The last issues of MARVEL TALES are really tough to find in nice shape. This one reminds me of my favorite TWILIGHT ZONE episode: TIME ENOUGH AT LAST with Burgess Meredith.
  21. Another HG pre-hero...One of my favorite robot covers!
  22. Now if you keep complimenting my books like that, I'm only going to keep posting more!
  23. Speaking of 9.6, I would conjecture that THIS one might be in that range...its the White Mountian TTA #5 -- I list it cause it looks so good with TTA #16 -- gotta love giant rock monster!
  24. I am looking forward to seeing the 9.6 While not quite a 9.6 -- here is my own humble copy of TTA #16:
