We definitely heard your thoughts and feelings.  It is not about taking over. It is, that others have mentioned, we have heard this same cry for years. Even before cards it was TAT during convention season. This has been the same over and over.

As for the #1 contributor on RT well..

    :roflmao:

I did just stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.. Plus I was playing home games on Magnavox before there even was an Atari.

All of this useless information and doesn't amount to sqat..

Dude I am crying laughing right now. I have never in my life been accosted by the presence of RottenTomatoes royalty. Truly incredible times I am living through. I think I'm starting to enjoy myself here again.

Because I am my own person with my own feelings and feel like containing them in my thread instead of taking someone else's thoughts over. Sorry, efficient? Are forums a business? Buddy, I was the #1 contributor on Rotten Tomatoes when they were a top 5 forum in terms of size, none of this means anything.

Saying you were the #1 contributor on RT is not the flex you think it is LMAO what did I just read

Totally agree, I'm a comics guy trying to learn something/anything from the cards discussions and all I ever see over here is guys complaining about not receiving their cards or their order hasn't been marked rec'd by cgc.....same discussion just worded different.

I honestly don't expect to see any changes until May. A new building and new employees just to support a new division that's not even a year old? There are just so many moving parts and variables right now it must be chaotic.

I understand putting express and standard. But if ur saying its ok that bulk orders from dec has to be frozen to do express orders from March. Thats exactly where we are saying its unfair, ur not prioritizing. U are jus plainly not caring at all. Maybe having all express orders from December and January done before December bulk. But saying express needs prioritizing at all.times then why not give ppls bulk back because it isn't even worked on

Out of curiosity, has anyone actually asked for their cards back yet?

Oh, I'm so sorry that you are tired and not having fun! Shame that you can't simply avoid the inch worth of internet page which leads to this thread, whew

I try, but the same topic literally takes over the front page every time and there is no way to resolve your issue besides just asking for your cards back at this point. Like you could probably send them to another grading service but it'll take just as long to get them back, if not longer.

I'm seriously sorry you are stuck in this predicament but no one can help you, especially if you're not willing to wait and see if the new building and employees can even make a difference.

You are probably right but CSG and SGC have not proven a slabbed sale or resale price trend yet compared to Beckett BSG pricing levels. Actually, HGA's color coordinated grading labels look pretty sharp.

I looked HGA up yesterday. From what I can tell they don’t grade Pokemon cards, just sport cards at the moment.

It’s really tiring seeing the same complaint thread posted everyday it seems. Takes the fun out of these forums for me.

U know thats clear wrong don't matter what u can use, many places put small print to scam u and say well read everything, jus cause I say this the small print says otherwise. When comcast tells u someone will be at ur house at 11am-8pm and they get there at 11pm. U will be mad because u waited all day stuck to their time frame. So u stayed home waiting. Are u happy or will u be mad

It’s sucks. I’m not denying it’s a bad situation to just be stuck in, but at this point what can you do. Every grading company is swamped. You chose to send your cards in at the lowest tier possible, alongside thousands of other individuals at the same time, to a new grading service that could only had so much capacity. They got so swamped with orders they had to buy a new building and hire new staff just to try and catch up and that’s still being worked out. Everybody is tied up. Unless orders magically stop it’s not going to be resolved for a while.

You can say you feel you’ve been wronged. That’s fine. I understand that perfectly. But this is a situation that is so far beyond our control.

I thought of that also. Back 4 months ago my cards I sent in wasn't all that valuable, but now there's cards in that order that has skyrocketed in price. How will they justify saying hey we gotta charge u a extra 8 per card because value went up, sorry smh

I would ask customer service about this tbh. I assume/hope the pricing would be what they quoted you on the invoice/packaging slip.

There's laws in place to prevent scamming.  Aka (False Advertising). Misleading consumers. ETC

Estimates don’t count as false advertisements. LMAO. They even go as far as stating “Turnaround times are approximate and not guaranteed.”

If they had said “guaranteed” then maybe your argument would actually hold water.

If you want to take another route and go after the word “approximate” go right ahead, but it still doesn’t change the fact it’s tied to “not guaranteed”.

I wonder if they could speed up training and grading if they had one person specialize in corners, one in surface, one in centering and one in edges.  It would add 3 people to the whole 'handling your card' business, increasing risk of wear and damage, and their processes would have to really be bulletproof so nothing gets misplaced or recorded incorrectly.

I guess, but that’s a lot of hands for one card to be graded. They’d probably have to be graded in batches and sent station to station which adds moving time.

Also, specialized training won’t help graders with being well rounded in their expertise, so they may make poor judgement if they get moved to surface for a day and all they routinely know is corners.

CGC should implement estimated time frames instead of an exact amount of days. I would not have sent my cards bulk back before the price changes if I didn't think my cards would be done in a month or so. Now it's been 3 months since they have been received, and I probably won't get them back until this time in May at the earliest. Same for my standard submission and Express submissions. I would prefer to see a time frame layout like this:

Bulk: 90-120 days (Not business days)

    Econ: Get rid of this

    Standard: 30-45  days

    Express: 10-20 days

    Walkthrough- 3-7 days

What do you guys thin about this?

Bulk would have to increase in price to match economy’s price point. There would be an insurance gap between and $100 and $1000 otherwise.

Bgs charges 150-200 per card for 10-15+ day turnaround. Its nuts right now and if cgc can get it together with their reputation they should profit. Hire more graders I mean its not that hard of a job right?

We’re paying a premium for knowledge and expertise most people don’t have, so even if they hire newbies they still need to train them on what to look for. CGC 10s are notoriously hard to get, so if untrained graders start flooding the market with 10s by being lenient then the value of everyone’s collection goes down.

I feel your pain, however I submitted one tier lower than yours (Standard). My cards were delivered to and signed for by CGC on March 2nd. Here we are 15 days later (10 business days) and there is no status update in my account. Still waiting to see that 'Received' status...

Definitely some wild times. I sent a standard order during mid February so I guess I got lucky and had them received before the giant wave of March submissions.

I have to assume, for your cards, submitted with a 20-30 dat TAT, it is still 20-30, but the newer subs have the higher TAT. I sent mine in, and decided to just hibernate.

Okay so I'm willing to put this to the test, for Express and Standard at least. When I submitted my first EX it was a 15 day TAT that got lowered to 11. On day 10, I was scheduled for grading and the TAT went up to 22 day. On day 12, it was shipped back. I still have one standard order that was received when the TAT was 25 days, and an express that was received when TAT was 11. If stuff is getting "grandfathered" in, My express should be in grading by the 25th and my standard by the 31st.

This is assuming all runs according to plan though, and I'm not holding my breath for that haha.

  15. It can take anywhere from 1-10 business days for cards to get logged in (it really depends on how many orders are received and from what tier). I've had express orders take 6 days, I've had express orders get logged the day after delivery. After it is received, it won't change again until a few days before it's actually graded. Right now TATs (turn around times) are kinda volatile for each tier, so if you have questions I would just send their customer service an email.
