Id probably upgrade to standard unless you dont want them back this year lol. Not even joking but any bulk/economy that was sent in after January is going to take forever to get back. They are extremely low priority compared to standard. All my standard subs have been coming back within a month. My 12/7 bulk took 3 months to come back, which was like 60-70 business days. TAT's are about to get worse, like really bad due to PSA shutting down.

Its strange how a few more bucks will get them to actually work on your cards but it just is what it is at the moment.

That’s $700 he could use to acquire more collectibles though, or invest, or spend elsewhere. Seeing as every other grading company is taking just as long, I say waiting it out is still the best option.

PSA caters to sellers and CGC is great for buyers. The PSA TAT extension, followed by the price increase, followed by the recent shut down should help CGC cards close the gap in price on the Ebay market, which I feel is far too large right now. PSA is far too laxed with their handing out of 10s and this benefitted sellers tremendously. I see soooo many PSA 10s that are just straight up 9s, and there are tons of people who are perfectly accepting of them and buy them up. Gone are the days of sending in tons of cards to PSA, getting 10s, and flipping them for cash, at least for now. Ive got a few CGC 10s in my collection, unfortunately no perfect 10s yet, but I anticipate these are severally undervalued currently and this PSA shutdown should clearly point that out.

I agree with your point. I have a junk slab PSA 9 I keep for comparison and there’s no way it would get a 9 with CGC. Way too much whitening around the edges.

Same thing happened to me with a Leon SR. Went straight from pack to sleeve/top holder and I sent in. Card received a 6.5. I didn't have any sub grades either since I planned on keeping it. But it was hard to tell what the issues may be. It looks like it may be edges You can see for yourself as well.

Pain. Let me just stick to Japanese cards then haha I’ll get at least a 9 on the ones I want.

From the front, looks like nicks in bottom left and top left corners, and then the centering isn't doing it any favors either, left to right is off enough that it's visually easy to spot. Like you said though, I wouldn't have expected a 5.5, that's more like 7-8 range in my opinion. Not sure what's making up the rest of it

Same here. I sent in an old beat up cd promo in the same order and that card also rated a 5.5 (expected), but there is a stark difference in the condition of the two. Like it’s not even close haha.

everyone is doing it wrong. ex cards are too old and cgc wont give them priority. you need to write vmax or gx on your box. i wrote vmax gx gigantimax buffalo butt pikachu and got a 12 HOUR turn around time. my cards skipper received and went straight to graded. yall are just not up to speed.

If you’re really daring, you can write UR on the box. Just so they know it has extra SPICE inside it.

  6. All I can say for certain is I’m going back to completing sets and collecting singles for a while (the new Japanese Gold Snorlax is calling my name).

Might hop back in these forums for the lols every once in a while, but I don’t plan on making anymore submissions for a bit. Just one less person for the graders to cater to so the rest you you guys can get your orders done.

I am kind of conflicted, part of me want WhiningCollectibles' cards to be graded so the shining can stop... but the evil part of me kind of started to enjoy the whining, it kind of growing on me...  and I haven't even been visiting here for that long.

Sorry for the joke but I think it's little funny just want to share!  Hope your cards get graded soon!

It’s his character arc. Gonna be a whole saga until November at this rate. Maybe longer.

    card edges?

the back image i can see lots of issues unless it is just a bad scan.

I don't really see anything on the edges though, at least nothing that would drop this below a 6. The glare from the lighting kind of makes it hard to see if there's any major whitening on top or bottom, though to my knowledge there were no marred edges, scratches or otherwise when I submitted it.

What issues can you spot on the back?

Bottom left u can see a small dent in. The same thing happen to my charizard. U gotta see it close to notice it

That little nick dropped it to a 5.5? Lol okay I guess I’ll take it as is. Not reselling by any means, this was the first full art card I pulled so I wanted to preserve it for memory.

I pulled a rainbow rare Team Yell Grunt in the pack right after. It was a fun night.
