I seem to recall there also being Spidey and Hulk versions of these. They would break very easily if you tried to do any of the jumps or stunts listed on the package.

There is definitely a Spidey one. Had that one too and saw a couple on eBay. What I didn't realize was there was a JOKER one. That MAY be my next purchase. :takeit:Not sure about the Hulk though... I know AHI made lots of other cool toys (other motorcycles, cars, parachutes) that predominantly featured Batman, Spidey and Hulk.

    My back.

Keeping things family friendly by only showing the top half.

Impressive! Is there a tattoo thread on here somewhere already? I have quite a few and several are comic book related.

  3. I gotta agree with @MattTheDuck. The first copy seems to be more vivid and I do look at page color. Especially if I'm upgrading, I would go for the first one. I'd rather pay a little extra for what I feel is a better copy. And as stupid as it is... I look at the cert number. First copy was the first comic in the submission. The second copy was the fourth. I know it doesn't matter but it is a variable that can be used as a tiebreaker if all else fails.

And finally, the Belles of the Ball, the Reasons for the Season, the guys I really wanted: Shogun Warriors!

These boys are all a bit grimy, need a good cleaning. These are for ME. I'll be getting some sticker sets for Daimos and Dragun, after I clean them up, maybe get some repro accessories as well.

The real find was Rodan. One of my long time Grails. Missing a back talon and one of the wing clips is busted, but he still displays nicely. Couldn't be much happier!

My upgrade plan was a success! This is one of my all-time favorite books. I had a nice raw that I had graded a couple of years ago, paid $360 for it several years back, and it came back 9.4 when I slabbed it. Prices kept going up and up on this book, and then went really nuts when it was announced that a Netflix series was in the works.

A short time later, the market started to cool, and then the announcement came that the Netflix show had been scrapped. Suddenly, prices were in free fall.

So, I decided to sell my 9.4 for what I could get (turned out to be $1100, well short of the heights it had hit, but considerably more than I'd paid for it) and wait for another copy.

Won this 9.6 at CLink for $900-ish. I'm pleased. I'm never going to pay what a 9.8 would cost, so this will be my keeper copy.

I could talk your ear off about Grendel and all the early B&W Comico stuff. I grabbed my 9.8 Primer #2 years ago on eBay I think for $800 which was INSANE amount of money at that time for me. LOL. Great grab on the 9.6!
