I appreciate you saying that. I bought it raw and thought to myself "This HAS to be at least a 9.6." It came back 9.4 with no grader notes so other than "being Canadian" I don't know why it didn't go higher.

All I ever had as a kid was newsstand copies until I found my first comic shop. From that point on, I wanted only direct. To me a Spidey head was MUCH more appealing. And I saw it as a status thing; since most other kids were still getting random comics from the 7-11. I was completing full runs from my LCS! Filled in a run of Uncanny X-men always picking the direct over a newsstand; so long as the grade was same or better. But I would hold off sometimes if only newsstand was available. Fast forward and I'm out of collecting like 20 years and getting back into it. Now I'm looking for newsstand for the nostalgia. Go figure.

If there is a Make an Offer option, I assume the seller just wants to get more attention with the high asking price. I personally would list items in my PC amongst ones I really wanted to sell. My PC books get my I don't want to sell it price.

I would like to save this thread if possible... Does anyone know how common a double cover is? I know there is one example of a Grendel #1 (1983) with a double-cover. That slipped away years ago around the same time the original cover art was up for sale. There's a Grips #4 double cover I found for sale. Just wondering if this could be a one of one or if double covers may occur in bunches.
