  1. I'm also adding some new books: New Mutants 87 Unread Sealed Subscription Copy 1st Cable Rob Liefeld Thor 412 Unread Sealed Subscription Copy 1st Full New Warriors I'll be listing more tomorrow.
  2. Here's a later version where they made the cover visible.
  3. I'll post some shortly, but yeah. There's an address sheet that covers the cover
  4. I bought a small stack of sealed subscription copies from the early 1990s (without knowing the titles or issue numbers) and got lucky with a New Mutants 87 and a Thor 412 (I have to double check the numbers on the rest although I didn't recognize anything). Has anyone dealt with these before (of course someone has, this is the CGC forum, right?) They're more interesting to me bagged, but I don't know if other people feel the same way and I'd be the one selling, not the one buying. Thoughts?
  5. The biggest, basically insane, example is the Rockford Detective #27 which, for no reason I can understand, swapped companies (it remains a 6.0)
  6. This was pulled from a box of books I had sitting around and... since I have time and CGC is open I got them graded. Bid Like You're Stir Crazy. 7. Hi, you missed the point of the question. It would help to get a comics expert to look at this. I'll explain, anyway- there's a notation on the label indicating that it's from the Edgar Church/Mile High pedigree. It's very specific and very popular provenance. IT's literally the best collection ever amassed. It's mostly a Golden Age collection (1938 through the mid-1950s, basically) with a hundred or issues (Dells, mostly) running until 1966. This comic is from 1976, two years before Edgar Church died and ten years after the last Church copy I know of (the link I posted earlier is to a research project I did cataloging every known book in the Church collection.). This is unlikely to actually be an Edgar Church copy.
  8. I know that there are books from the Silver Age, but 1976? I don't have record of anything past 1966. https://comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FSEARCH.ASP%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Djustice%2Bleague%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item_1392949&id=1392949&itemType=0
  9. Jerry popped up in the comments on my site around that time.
  10. I was going through an exercise identifying the best copy of the top 20 Golden Age books and I was floored by how many were in his collection (the best Superman #1!) And it's not like it stops with those books. And I'm not even talking about Batmobiles or whatever. It was pointed out to me many years ago that his interests extend into the Silver Age and he was buying those books alongside all of the legendary Golden Age stuff. His 50th most interesting book (from my perspective at least) might be a $1,000,000 Amazing Fantasy 15
  11. I pulled a scan a while ago. The best we can do from that is verify what John said- it has the best registration of any copy of that book I've ever seen.
  12. The two people who have seen it hat have shared their opinion about the grade are a little more than "Mr. X, Y, and Z." Especially when it comes to grading and Action #1s. Stephen Fishler is credited as creating the 10 point grading scale we use today and has sold a bajillion Action #1s and Steve Borock started the two biggest grading companies in the hobby. They're pretty good sources (lol) and neither gets anything out of saying that the Church copy is the best- in Fishler's case it probably hurts him because it means the books he's bought and sold are all fighting it out for second place. But he's still acknowledged the quality of the Church copy.
