  1. Best story of the month. That also probably sets the record for the longest, most detailed and informative first post ever. (thumbs u
  2. Nice book and WTTB (welcome to the boards). (thumbs u
  3. Well boys, wish me luck. Seventeen (17) various Dave books just arrived at CGC today. I sent them in Fast Track so should have them back in about 3 weeks.
  4. Thanks for the nice feedback Greg.
  5. I recently picked up these 16 scarce Whitmans from an online auction. I think I'm up to 31 scarce Whitmans and 3 rare Whitmans now.
  6. I disagree completely. If you as a seller can't make 100% feedback then you're not really trying (or you don't care). And which planet are you on David? Maintaining a 100% feedback rating on eBay as a seller can be considered a minor miracle considering how many person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed buyers that are out there. Planet Terra just like you Whatsamatta? got negged recently? No, just that dork who left the neutral feedback.

  8. Though to be fair, one neg and the neutral seem to be unjustified and from buyers who didn't read the auction descriptions. The neg for the cracked case has a big, bold, underlined notice that the case is cracked in the auction description. The neutral was from someone expecting a set of 7 items when she clearly indicated she was only selling a set of 3. It never seems fair to me that eBay can let buyers blame the seller for their own inability to read the description... Agreed. I had some insufficiently_thoughtful_person eBay buyer leave me neutral feedback after I agreed to allow him out of a comic purchase he made back in August. Really?
  9. Now I KNOW Andy has a time machine. He's going back and pulling multiple copies off of the newsstand rack!
  10. I hear where you are coming from on this book, Joe. But we also have quite a few Stevens completest that love to collect anything Stevens - including ads containing artwork from the original books. That's most probably who would add this book to their collection. Speaking of which, I still need a copy of Cheval Noir #17 with the Rocketeer Stevens card inside, just to see what it looks like. That would be one I'd pick up due to my appreciation for the character. I did find a small image of it at the official Dave Stevens site. Yeah, and the only reason I bought 17 of the 20 pictured (I already had 3) is because I got them for 25 cents each. And all 17 were from one seller.
  11. Picked this one up today at a local comicon. It's a VFish copy that I'll probably keep even though I already have a CGC 9.2.
  12. Picked these up at a local comicon earlier today..... 1st Printing 1st Printing
  13. Ok, seriously though...nice stuff! Recent pickup or just showing off the goods? Just showing all of my Dave Stevens raw books. I actually missed a few (knew I had more somewhere) and a few more are on the way. I've been lucky enough to find a bunch of Dave covers in high grade lately even at local shops and for good prices too.
  14. Back to our regularly scheduled programming....
  15. Well, that's at least 3 guys on here with time machines....
  16. So where are the 9.9s? Great books as always Andy.
  17. I'm not giving anybody any about it, but I just have to say it. I never understood why anyone would want a DC character on a Marvel comic and vice-versa. It just doesn't seem to fit to me. It definitely bothers some people. Fortunately, I couldn't give a mess what those people think. Hi Sean.
