  1. PM sent. I believe both Bane and naits were looking for a Batman #307 CGC 9.8.
  2. Hey......9.6s are nothing to sneeze at. Everybody and their grandmother thinks you have to have a 9.8 or it's not a "nice" book. Many people have said that the difference between a 9.6 and a 9.8 is rather miniscule. At least one of the graders might have thought it was a 9.8. Be proud to own those and screw the 9.8 pimps. (thumbs u
  3. Why thank you A funny story about the NYX #3: My brother broke the CGC case, and I was pizzed I wanted to get a re-holder,but didn't have time or money. So when Joe Quesada was on the guest list at NYCC,I went ahead and had it signed and graded. I was worried about a downgrade, but I took a chance and did it anyway. I was very happy that it kept it's 9.8 grade I guess I should thank my brother for breaking the CGC case I'd still slap him around a little bit just because he's your brother.
  4. Another big slab sale starts tomorrow. I'm turning loose of more of my better slabs (and many others) to pay down debt and hopefully get out of this rental house soon. We've been in here longer than I expected and I'm ready to own my own home again. I'm even considering selling my AF #15 CGC 6.5 restored signed by Stan the Man.
  5. Got a slab and some raw books from Dre that were pristine as usual. Thanks again Dre! My Lady Mechanika set is nearing completion!
  6. Picked this one up at a local Vintage Stock store last weekend for $1.00.
  7. Yup, I noticed, but I'm pretty sure the indicia says 61. I'm not sure why 51 is on the cover. Anyone with any info would be great It would seem that CGC have put on the wrong details on the label - your book is issue 51, dated Jan 46. Issue 61 is dated May 1946 He's right. Here's a pic of issue #61 (from Grand Comics Database): http://www.comics.org/issue/5094/ Yet another label error by CGC.
  8. Copy everything that Awax said above. Got a nice batch of books today from Frank that were very well packaged. It took me so long to get to the comics I had to take a nap afterwards.
  9. That's actually rather ironic. We have a couple of rotten bananas so I'm actually going to make some banana bread today. Here ya go little Nickie. It'll be out of the oven soon. (thumbs u
