What's the issue number on that Detective in the bottom left? Love that cover That would be Detective Comics #647 (1st appearance of Spoiler). I grab high grade copies on the cheap whenever I can.

Picked up a sweet copy of Solar #3 for a buck over the weekend at the North Texas Comic Show in Dallas along with a Shadowman #16 also for a dollar. While I was at it I also grabbed a Harbinger #8 for a buck.

They're not ultra high grade but I have a 9.0/9.2 copy packed up for shipment to CGC and an 8.5 /9.0 right behind that one.

I don't have a pic of it, but a local collector friend of mine showed me his copy of King Kong #1 signed on the bottom of the front cover by Dave Stevens. I'm obviously trying to buy it from him.

Possibly, but they can't get the book from the seller if he doesn't send it. Comiclink has the same problem... if the seller doesn't agree to the price (even if it's a "buy-it-now" price) within a day or so, then the sale doesn't go through. So they don't have to send it in to consign it? Apparently not. Once I "purchased" the book, I received an e-mail from ComicConnect stating they had contacted the seller to have the book shipped to them . So the book(s) apparently stay in the seller's hands until they actually sell.

Wouldn't Green Lantern #201 be the one to get? Yup! After the SDCC announcement about the Green Lantern Corps, I performed an internet search and found a CGC 9.6 copy of Green Lantern #201 on ComicConnect for $45. I went ahead and made the purchase on Saturday (July 11) but on Monday I received an e-mail from ComicConnect stating that the "item is no longer available". So what immediately showed up on Sunday night on eBay in an auction starting at $69.99? You guessed it. A Green Lantern #201 CGC 9.6.

I'd much rather have these than any of those movie tie-ins. Great books!

I just won this book in an online auction for the massive amount of $2.00. Of course by the time they shipped it to me, this $2.00 comic quickly turned into $20.00 I don't think anyone else realized it was the foreign variant of Fantastic Four #26 (printed in March 1971). Spanish I take it? I believe it's from Brazil.

Ebay limits the amount of offers to 3 from each bidder. So even if one person uses up all 3 of their offers, anybody else can still make offers on that item. And the person who used up all of their offers can still hit the Buy It Now to get that same item.

It's been a good week for me for buying comics. First up, I picked up these comics from a seller on Facebook all for $1.00 each: The ASM 129 is the Lion's Gate reprint and the ASM #529 is a 1st print in great shape. There's also Avengers #402 (last issue) and V2 #1; Gambit #1; Marc Spector, Moon Knight #59: Marvel Milestone: Hulk #1 (anybody recognize the signature?) and Eternal Warrior #4 (1st Bloodhot). Then within the past couple of days I bought a longbox full of comics from a local guy through a Facebook ad. They were 99% Marvel and included these runs: Excalibur 1-41, Special 1 New Mutants 94-97 Silver Surfer 51-56 Wolverine 2-46 X-Factor 1-80 (no 6) X-Force 1-10 X-Men 259-289 (no 266) X-Men V2 1-9 A little over 250 comics in all for $100. The guy had already taken the box to an LCS who of course took the Wolverine #1, X-Factor #6 and X-Men #266 but all of the rest of the good ones were still in there - Silver Surfer 55,56; Wolverine 10; X-Factor 5,15,19,23 and 24; 5 copies of X-Force 1, 2 copies of X-Force 2, 8; X-Men 268,282,283 and X-Men V2 #4,5. Then yesterday I went to a BOGO sale at a local Vintage Stock store. They had some new $1 long boxes on the floor so I only went through those. Here's what I grabbed: Yep - in that 1st pic is Civil War 1-7 in NM/NM+. They had them for sale as a set for $9.95. I couldn't grab them fast enough. Other highlights are Hulk #270, Infinity Gauntlet 2,5,6; Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man #1 (1st print); Wolverine 80; Flash 1 (2006); Static #1; Superman, Man of Steel 17 (2nd printing); Batman and Robin #1 (New 52); Batman, The Dark Knight #1 (New 52); Superman/Wonder Woman #1 (New 52); Static Shock #1-6 (New 52).
