Yeah. I’m now focusing on one pricey book a month when I get paid. I’m happy still plugging gaps but I’m at the stage where the cheaper books are all owned. ive completed 250-375 and just about to complete 200-250 and ive got the keys 238 / 252 so rest is easy. I’m getting there on 51-100 but yeah I need to start pulling the trigger where I financially can on bigger keys

Thanks. Thing is if I “collected what I like” I’d be be back buyIng multiple titles and not financially be able to complete my dream run. Third world problems etc !! good luck with the Batman run buddy

Yeah that makes sense. I sold a few keys years back so first one I replaced was 300 which I got a lot cheaper than what I would now, likewise 238 and 252. I am buying cheaper bulk but trying to buy the more expensive ones now before it goes too crazy

Interesting. May first goal was to complete the run of 298-350 which I had a really good head start on From when I was young. Imo it’s the best part of the run but I put that down to nostalgia

Yeah that’s sort of the strategy but the addiction of plugging gaps and buying non keys is too much.

I may be similar that I also took time out when having a family etc. I love the focus and end goal of one title but sure as hell miss other titles !

Thanks, yeah I’m having to buy low to mid grade on a lot of the expensive stuff but I’m happy with that.

Thanks. I’d love to be like that Ken but it’s just financials preventing me, plus I like the idea of having one complete body of work as opposed to several titles that are nowhere near complete. I sold around 400 issues to buy 2 Spidey keys and whilst very sad to deplete bulk it’s the only way I could do it.

Thanks. yeah that’s the plan, once I complete this or get as damn close as I financially can I’ll start on another run. Probably Silver Surfer volume 1 as I still have first issue.

Anybody else do this ? When I was young I collected around 6 or 7 titles monthly but now I only focus on ASM. My goal is to complete full run of ASM ( plus AF15) from issue 1 to 375 and I’m determined to do so. As we know it’s not cheap so to help fund this I’ve sold off vast majority of all other titles. I do miss my Fantastic Four / Silver Surfer / X Men but they’ve been sacrificed unfortunately for the greater good. I still regularly feel the urge to buy other titles but my way of thinking is that money spent on other titles means I’m not buying an issue to complete my goal of ASM completion. if I had the money I would just buy them all but my pockets aren’t deep enough !! I almost feel guilty and almost a comic book fraud by only buying one title so anybody else do this or just me ??!!

As an example, and in my opinion…First appearance of wolverine is IH180 as is first appearance of Venom ASM299. There the issues when we first see them in all their glory.

Bidders on eBay are crazy at minute. There’s no research just panic bidding on most things. People are bidding twice as much as on the same book at buy it now.

One of my favourite ever books and it’s in better condition than mine ! id say 7.5

Everybody was a noob once. Like I said, when as a bunch of collectors did we become so elitist and feel the need to mock people ? Nothing was overconfident, it was merely a post and mistake about about a comic buddy.

Dr Doom is iconic the world over and even people who’ve never read a comic know him and what he looks like. Kang is just not or never will be in that league.

Do you go to the London comic mart ? I’m based in Newcastle but work a lot in London and spend a lot of time in the stores down there. I’ve never been to the London mart but aim to get to the one in august. It looks decent
