    That was my thought also. if you’re in the gold medal position it can only be a good thing for other early keys of course, not a good thing for me who is half way to completing a run of 1-100

    Great copy. Due to the predominantly black cover it can be difficult book to get in good condition

    If ( and it’s a very big if ) this breaks the record, is there an automatic spike in other ASM issues or not ? We all know ASM is the flagship most collected book so if AF15 becomes the valuable is there any trickle down from this do we think ?

    Apologies if already said, but ASM is iconic as they come. So right they kept it for 394 issues and 31 years. I mean, there has been worse than the new one but just why bother

    As much as I’d love to see it, I can’t see it beating the AC1 record. Yes it’s better value, Spidey is way hotter than Superman, Marvel over DC but it’s just not a scare enough book to beat it. of course I may be completely wrong and not can’t wait to see how this plays out.

    I always found it annoying that Bagley did 5 straight covers on ASM that were all very similar. Sure it was planned but I don’t get it

    I remember thinking it was a decent enough copy. I recognised it by the sticker. Being honest, as I wasn’t looking to bid on it I didn’t pay a great deal of attention. knoeing what you paid, plus the buyers tax it’s probably about right. I wouldn’t say you got a bargain but I don’t think you overpaid also.

    I thought I recognised it ! I was at the auction as I live nearby so saw the comic in the flesh. I didn’t bid on that but I did on other copies of ASM.

    I agree fully. likewise comics and vinyl are MY thing. I’d sell the house before these 2. Too many sentimental and good memories to part. god, take these 2 things away from me and nobody would want to live with me. I’d be a right miserable ****

    Welcome back. in my humble opinion,comic books are the greatest medium for telling the story of art and plot and make no bones about it, stories have been important since the Dawn of time. Do what makes you happy buddy.

    Wow that’s a great collection you’ve put together and best of luck getting that issue 6 soon. Yeah AF15 is the ultimate but my head says it may not happen !
