  1. Nice pick-up Bill I was interested in this one too.
  2. Only because there have been so many of these battles over the years. However, in the beginning, when the Thing had not met the Hulk, all Marvel readers were BEGGING for a confrontation between these two. Back then the strongest Marvel heroes were few and far between, being The Thing, The Hulk, Thor & the Sub-mariner. That was the top four. Period. So Marvel fans have always speculated on who would win in a battle if they fought. That is why all the books featuring these early battles are so expensive also. FF #12, FF #25, & 26 and JIM #112. Later on Marvel introduced many super-strong powerful heroes and villains, but in the early days it was only these four. I think this is one of those "you had to be there" moments to fully appreciate these stories as we did in 1962-65. By the way, the battle between the Hulk & Thing in FF25 & 26 tops FF #12 in my opinion.
  3. By the way, the colors to me really stand out if the covers are predominately one color, such as the White, Black, or Red cover books. The Purplish/Blueish covers are fantastic too...such as FF25,39, & ASM 7, 11, 15, or 17 for example.
  4. I don't have too many, as stated they are/were pricey, especially when they came to market. However, the ones I do have are outstanding in color gloss, brightness, freshness and page quality. I have the ASM 23 and I have never seen a brighter White cover example. I highly recommend them. Same feelings here. I love the Twin Cities books. Even in the lower graded examples, the colors just "pop out", and the page quality is usually excellent thoughout the entire collection.
  5. Congrats Ryan... (thumbs u I was watching that one as well, I'm glad you are the one who picked it up!!! Nice AMF Surfer....nice cover on this particular issue.

  12. Joe, where is that from? This is from FP 2/5. It's from one of the great text story pages they had near the centerfolds...Guardineer did a ton of these great illustrations in the early Centaurs.
  13. I've always loved this one, don't know if it's considered cheating since it is a splash page...
  14. Nice presentable rare Centaurs Jeff... (thumbs u
  15. Fantastic copy. This copy presents so well. Hard to find a copy with the whites shown here...
  16. I picked up this one up recently (a month or two ago), and I've never seen anyone post a copy. The Griffin on the cover reminds me of the recent Blue Bolt #105 that was posted in the "Classic covers" thread a few days ago. So I dug it out and scanned it. edit: One of the things I like about this cover is that the logo is not black highlighted like all the other Adventure logos.
  17. That's an under-rated book if there ever was one....Nice copy too...
  18. Wow!!! I didn't know that. (thumbs u Thanks for the insight Scrooge....
  19. Because no one in these books are wearing long underwear....
  20. I agree that they are under-priced too...not enough data as there are with other publishers out there... Without a sales history, books become under-valued...
