  1. Nice looking copy Jack... This is a book you don't see everyday either... (thumbs u
  2. Nice Jeff... (thumbs u You know I like this one...
  3. Really fresh looking copy ...Congrats!!!
  4. Nice copy!!! Yeah, I agree it's the toughest of the Arrow books. Metro had the Church copy for a while (a long while), but it's been gone now for a month or two, so they must have sold it. Your copy is very presentable.
  5. My list would be something like this...I didn't include WOF or SW because I didn't consider them pre-hero because those titles never had any heroes in them. So my list is only ST, JIM, TTA, TOS & AA/AAF. We are NOT including TTA #27 right... (thumbs u 1) TTA #1 (because it's earlier than TOS) 2) TOS #1 3) AA #1 4) ST #89 5) ST #97 6) JIM #62 7) TOS #2 8) TTA #8 9) ST #67 10) JIM #50 11) AAF #13 12) ST #68 13) TOS #32 14) TTA #2 15) JIM #66 16) ST #80 17) AAF #7 18) TTA #31 19) TOS #16 20) ST #75 I'm sure many others will have their own lists....but for me, I like the above... I'd love to see other lists....
  6. Nice, but my favotire JIM cover is this one: The awesomeness of this Ditko cover cannot be matched! Oh, I wasn't saying that JIM #62 was my favorite cover, It's not...but rather it's the most IMPORTANT pre-hero JIM book.
  7. Wow!!! I don't know where all these copies are coming from??? But congrats on a great book...
  8. Nice books... (thumbs u I'd agree and say that ST #89 is the all-time pre-hero Strange Tales book... I think for JIM..it would be #62. Here is my old copy, I no longer own it though... Even though it wasn't super high-grade...I still miss it.
  9. That's a nice one Jimbo!!! I also need this issue as well, It's just hard to find the right copy for this one (I'm glad you sure did). (thumbs u I think it's the best cover of the entire ST run. Congrats!!!
  10. Congrats!!! Nice presentable copy... I saw this one and at the time I was thinking, what a presentable looking 3.5 copy. And it is...
  11. This is one of the books I received this week. I've had several different copies of this book over the years. The first time I owned a copy I was 8 yrs. old. That was in 1962 when this book came out. So it's nice to now have another copy, even though it's a reader, that even makes it better for enjoying, and this time I'll keep it. Something interesting about this book is that when my daughter was a little girl, I would tell her bedtime stories (like all good Daddy's), and once in a while I would use comic stories instead of actual fairy tales, and the cover story of this issue is one story I remember telling her when she was around 6 yrs. old (I didn't make it very graphic). I thought it was a cool little tale. Anyway, here's Strange Tales #98.
  12. What a tragedy it was about how Joe Maneely died. I received two comic orders in the mail today (about 50 comics), and this happened to be one of them (Maneely's last comics work). I think I will keep this one for a while. PS- I know this is not an Atlas thread (and this is not a pre-hero book), but it fits in with Fuelman's shared facts about Maneeley's death, so I thought I'd share it here.
  13. Congrats!!! Quite an accomplishment putting that run together... So what's next....A complete Centaur run...
  14. So Billy, did you ever complete the Cheslers??? I guess you did, and now you are dismantling them... Are all the rest for sale? By the way; Beautiful books Richard..congrats!!!
  15. We are not worthy! curious, but when did you start assembling your spiderman run? I agree we are NOT worthy... I've NEVER seen a more beautiful run of comics....EVER!!! These truly are well....AMAZING!!!!!!
  16. yeah, great stuff !!! Keep them coming... (thumbs u
  17. If you can't remember, you don't deserve to keep it... You can send it to me if you find it, you've got my address... edit: If you lost my address...send me a PM...I'll resend it to you...
