I use MCS and it’s 10% for BIN items under $300. 8% for items over $300 or for auction items. Commissions are also capped at $1000. It’s a great service, and I have had no major problems. (I’ve had like two non-paying buyers over the years.) (I also use Shortboxed, but you do have to pack your comics yourself.)

I'm so sorry to hear this news. My condolences to you and your family.

His friend probably didn't realize he had a 35 cent variant of IF #14. An 8.0 slabbed 35 cent variant actually exceeds the price of a 9.8 IF #14 in today's market. (I've been to Comic Collector shop and they still set up at Marc's Berkeley show although possibly with a different name.)

The actual CGC part of the logo is thinner and more vertically elongated. This font part of the logo should probably not have been changed as it's part of a larger branding, and it already has a better font thickness/kerning feel.

I have slabbed a fair number of X-Men #4s and that spine split is not common. The spine split will also affect the grade and it will likely get hammered, unfortunately.

Our Recent Experience Selling Comics Through Mycomicshop
sckao replied to thehumantorch's topic in Comics General
Has anyone noticed their new CGC slabs coming back consistently now with scuff marks due to the new FedEx shipping? (And this being consistently noted by MCS grading when entered into their system?) My recent CGC shipments have all been coming in beaten up, dirty, and with soft cardboard (even before the rains) which means the contents are shifting and rubbing up against each other resulting in tears to the (now thicker) plastic bags holding each slab. -
Received 10/28. Shipped 12/14. (Remember that there were hurricanes in Florida up to late November.)

I haven’t done an artist signing in many years so I thought I would do a McFarlane set given I had a bunch of existing slabs lying around. So I basically paid double I guess. Once to slab the first time and then to re-slab after the sig series signing. I know there will be a glut on the market and you can see it already, but one set is going into the PC for the meantime and both sets are sequentially numbered (Something I just wanted to do). (No platinum version unfortunately.)

Fugitoid #1 CGC 8.5 OFF-WHITE TO WHITE PAGES How many freaking Fugitoids did this guy slab? (Too many.) This one clearly did not make the grade. No pre-screen filter was used in the slabbing of these Fugitoids. Someone please give this little guy a home. (Someone paid $80 for a 6.0 in May 2021... but that was another time, a time we probably won't see again for many years.) Board Price: $50 shipped. (Freebies thrown in, of course, to sweeten the pot.) SOLD

Fugitoid #1 CGC 9.2 WHITE PAGES The 9.2s actually sell for higher than the 9.4s recently... which, of course, means that they're much more collectible and a better value than the 9.4s. (Or alternatively, these don't come up for sale that often.... Or in one thread for that matter.) Board Price: $101 shipped. Actually... $90 shipped. CGC Serial Number: 3907625002

Hi Everyone, RULES: First "takeit" in the thread wins and trumps any PM negotiations until the post has been updated as SOLD in the thread. I reserve the right to overrule takes in the event that a PM deal is concluded, and I hadn't yet had a chance to mark an item sold. Please do not edit takeits. Payment: Payment by PayPal, Venmo, Check/MO, or Cash in person. Invoices will go out after the thread ends generally or during a lull. Payment expected within 72 hours unless we communicate and agree ahead of time. Shipping: Slabs listed this time include free shipping for domestic orders. International orders we'll have to discuss. Returns: Returns are allowed within 7 days of receipt. Please inspect the images for damage or scuffs to the case before buying. This is often "normal" now for CGC slabs. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost back unless item was damaged in transit. Basically, we'll talk but it'll be fair and reasonable. Just making this stuff up as I go along...
