  1. According to preliminary national estimates from Nielsen, “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” averaged a 2.5 rating/7 share in adults 18-49 and 9.3 million viewers overall, up a tick for a second straight week and matching the show’s best demo score since Oct. 22. “SHIELD” finished second across the board to “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” (3.0/9 in 18-49, 11.4 million viewers overall), which was Tuesday’s No. 1 show in 18-49 — matching last week’s “NCIS” score — as well as 25-54 (4.1/10). http://variety.com/2013/tv/news/agents-of-shield-up-but-rudolph-shines-brightest-on-tuesday-1200891682/
  2. It's not like the SciFi Channel did great things with Alphas... cancelled after two seasons.
  3. It was a woman's dead body... presumably the SHIELD agent who brought her to the orphanage or her mother. Agent Sitwell has been a Marvel Character since 1966. Victoria Hand has been a Marvel Character since 2008.
  4. how is that possible? first place I saw him was in Ironman. Well, that settles it then... (Sunfire first appeared in the X-men in 1970) You would probably remember him better if he had actually appeared on the cover to Giant Size X-men #1.
  5. Yes, and I was hoping he would be Sunfire. So was I, but my guess is that Sunfire's rights are tied up with the X-Men and Fox, and that the character is off-limits to them. If there's one disappointment I've had with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. it's that we're now 5 episodes in and there hasn't been a single recognizable super hero from the Marvel Pantheon. Not even a C-lister. I'm wondering how long until they have some characters that show it's in the wider Marvel universe. They wont Scorch is a character (villain) from the Marvel 616 universe. http://marvel.wikia.com/Tommy_Ng_%28Earth-616%29 First appearance Night Thrasher #13 (August, 1994)
  6. You didn't see the first ten minutes of this last episode and get a little freaked out by the men in red masks with metal briefcases chained to their hands? Especially given today's climate? And then they all get on the subway? I would think Mass Panic would ensue. I would personally have exited that train if I saw a bunch of them getting on it. So it was cool that they brought Instagram and social media into it... as that is EXACTLY what would happen in a public setting.
  7. Isn't it crazy that we now demand that our shows reach their full potential within the first one or two episodes, and when TNG came out, the character development took two full seasons to find it's stride? I think someone pointed out that there is so much "good" TV out there that maybe some people are becoming spoiled. -slym I definitely agree with that. I have to make a conscious effort to give shows a chance if the first episodes are a little sketchy. My wife has given up on AOS, but I'll watch it every week now that it got picked up for a season at least. When ST:TNG first came out, their costumes were really thin, Troi's hair was really severe, Data wasn't developed, Geordi wasn't Chief Engineer, Riker was actually in shape... Worf was just the guy standing at the console. Years later, it ranks up there with TOS as one of the best Star Trek series. Without TNG succeeding, there would never have been ST:DS9, ST:Voyager, Enterprise, etc.
  8. I didn't like Star Trek: TNG when it first came out... I'll give this series a chance to develop too.
  9. It turns out the average age of a CIA employee is 29 according to this article. One third are women. 12 percent are minorities. 75 percent speak foreign languages. http://www.examiner.com/article/young-cia-recruits-offer-america-broader-margin-of-safety Samuel Jackson (64 IRL) Gregg Clark (51 IRL) Ming Na Wen (49 IRL) Colbie Smulders (Maria Hill) 31 years old IRL. Elizabeth Henstridge 26 IRL Iain De Caestecker 26 IRL Brett Dalton (Ward) 28-29 IRL possibly. BA from UC Berkeley. MFA in Acting from Yale School of Drama (3 years) in 2011 CHloe Bennett 22 IRL
  10. If there were a bunch of super powered people running around... like say a strong African American guy, a guy with incredible accuracy and athleticism, a whiz kid who can see electronic signals (a la Drummer from Planetary), a telepathic female and another female with heightened senses... why you'd have the now CANCELLED tv show called Alphas. And who co-created Alphas? Zak Penn, who also wrote the original Avengers Screenplay that Joss Whedon hated. http://www.hitfix.com/articles/joss-whedon-pans-zak-penns-original-avengers-screenplay#~ojfDdqmwgLCp2H Penn, of course, is no stranger to penning superhero movies - beginning with the "story by" credit he received on Bryan Singer's "X2", his resume includes the screenplays for "Elektra" (2005), "X-Men: The Last Stand" (2006) and 2008's "The Incredible Hulk" (though the last of those, as noted above, was virtually taken over by Norton during production). 11. The problem with your scenario is WHAT THEN? Luke Cage stands by while the team enters into harm's way? Where's his extraction plan? Are you saying the Shuttle lands anyway even though he idiotically jumped out? So he joins the team and suddenly they're all fifth wheels? You can see how this is going I hope...
  12. It's got Joss Whedon's fingerprints all over it... I liked it. The Human Target only lasted two seasons and it is a similar show (also based on a DC Character).
  13. My lowly copy. This is my first GL 76 Slab.
  14. I think the new showrunner, Scott Grimple, is very talented and has had a hand in a lot of moments (big and small) that define the series. He's introduced new elements that really expand the new world they live in and give nuances to their characters. I think he contributed to the episode where Sophie comes out of the barn too. So Season 4 should be very good I hope.
  15. Season 4 probably has Cannibals... They need people for that...
  16. What didn't make sense is that the Governor didn't return to Woodbury. It would be hard to believe that they could evacuate the town if he were there. So he left with his two henchmen... but they neglected to pick up the artillery/weapons used by the others. Rick and Co. now have a 50 Caliber Machine Gun...
  17. I think they split the group initially. They send Herschel, Beth with the baby, Carl (who knows the way) to Morgan but maybe they get intercepted. Morgan appears to save them but gets wounded/killed. The rest stay at the Prison maybe retreating into the prison (and exiting out the other side) and setting a trap for the Governor's men. Milton gets killed off. Carol Sharon (Tyreese's sister) Ben or Allen (whoever the father is... I think the son was killed last episode) Martinez At the end, I think Rick gets separated from the group or someone else gets separated from the group like Andrea.
  18. Those who think the Governor will survive until next season... (He very well could... but probably not because of the toy line.) Remember that Mazzara was responsible for the early part of this second half of Season Three. Apparently, Kirkman had a role in forcing him out either because of the series plot direction or because there were reported production slowdowns and a lack of filmable material. (I.E. The writing was still being done while they were shooting.) Either way, I wouldn't necessarily expect next season to be that similar to this season. I suspect they'll have retooled the ending of this season as well. I don't know the lead time for McFarlane toys but I suspect they were okayed and put into production before any late changes.
  19. I like how the Guv knew just where to go to find Andrea. Why she didnt just run into the brush instead of going into a building with zombies is insane. It looked like the Guv was backed into a corner and surrounded when Andrea went up the stairs. Why didn't she take his truck? I think the Gov took the keys, looked like a bad neighborhood It's been post-apocalyptic for over a year. I doubt keys are available for every car, and everyone should know hot to hot wire a car by now. At least everyone from Rick's group, I'd imagine. If you think about it, keys should be plentiful for cars with zombies at the wheel. (The key would then be in the ignition.) Now whether there is GAS in the tank is another issue. The area around Woodbury is probably picked clean regarding cars or gasoline.
  20. The actual limited edition put out by Marvel seems to require that it be numbered from 1 to 2000 under Superman's cape. Stan's Signature probably varied and he may have signed them over a period of time. So some of the ones shown in this thread seem to NOT be part of that limited edition but instead was independently done later probably at conventions.
  21. All she did was enter through the back or side and grab the photo... All the zombies were concentrating on trying to get through the front door to get Carl. He was literally jailbait. Hence, her order to stay right there... She DID get onto the roof rather quickly though...
  22. Kirkman actually leaves that up in the air... http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/03/03/walking-dead-robert-kirkman-clear/ Question: In the diner, we had a couple of glimpses of a zombie who looked very much like Morgan’s wife. I wasn’t sure whether that was a coincidence or a hint that Morgan’s recollections of events are not to be trusted. Kirkman: Ah, you know, I think that might have been a coincidence. But maybe there’s something to it. I wouldn’t want to reveal anything if there was.
