  2. The Truck Driver could be her... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0562451/ Labeled as a Walker to throw people off? The driver seems tiny and this person has a very slight build.
  3. ZombiEX. When it absolutely positively has to be there overnight. "Zombies, It's not Just a Package, It's Your Business"
  4. The female was the one in Woodbury who was a bad shot... Hence she is now a driver. That's my supposition...
  5. Many more people are watching the show than have ever read the comics... so it's not weird that they're no longer catering to the original fans. It's a nice mix of both with an occasional bone thrown to the fans. (The first visual shot of Michonne, etc.)
  6. That was actually Lori (the real actress) standing there... She came back for a one day shoot. In the comic, Rick is forced to step down as leader at the prison. The same thing is happening on the show although due to different reasons. The end result is the same.
  7. Center the 9.8 and it'll look great. (thumbs u
  8. So it looks like the major backlogs are here: Modern which is currently 100 business days vs their targeted 20 business days turnaround. Economy which is currently 120 business days vs their targeted 40 business days turnaround. Value which is currently 120 business days vs their targeted 40 business days turnaround. Everything else seems to be on track per this page: http://www.cgccomics.com/services/Services.aspx Modern seems to be the most impacted as they are 5X behind vs 3X behind for Economy and Value Tiers. It's the cheapest tier but NOT that cheap as compared to the Value Tier. So what's the answer? CGC Boot Camp. They train a temporary floating pool of local graders (or graders willing to travel) who can help with their backlog. These are contractors and not employees. These graders are relegated only to Modern books (which are probably the easiest to grade IMO) and can probably function as Pre-Graders. They'd replace only one of the main graders on a three person grading line. Elevate an existing grader to start another Modern Line (or two). You'd probably need two Final Graders. Calculations would need to be made regarding how soon the backlog would be whittled down with these floating contractors. Each time they come in for an extended shift, they'd have to "re-certify" with a short test so their contracts should probably be for a minimum of a week. This would also take care of On-site grading. There are probably trackable cyclical increases/decreases in submissions so a floating pool of graders would help in that regard. CGC Boot Camp would also be a weekend event... and interested users could pay to just become "better" graders in regard to the CGC standard as well. (So that would pay for the instructor and facility time.) Just some random ideas...
  9. That's the scanner light refracting off the inner well I think... Not sure you can do much besides attempting to minimize it. It depends on the encapsulation method per slab.
  10. One word of caution: Those Home Depot shelves DO get heavy though. And I used zip ties to tie them too and you need to carry around a nice pair of snips to cut them off at the end of the convention. I had to tie them to the top of my SUV too. (Two racks side by side = a lot of shelves.) It's like having a notebook computer. You'll start out with a heavy one... But at some point, you'll discover that weight is an issue.
  11. That's pretty kool. But can't you just buy the dvd and format your TV to black and white? Actually, yes you can. If you fiddle with the color setting you can get a close approximation to black and white.
  12. kirkman confirmed that Carl did shoot Lori. Nicotero said that the thing Rick picked up out of the blood looked like a tooth initially, but it was revealed to be a bullet (with a flat side) when he turned it around. That was the bullet Carl used to shoot Lori. It was also mentioned that Rick (the actor) carries that bullet around in every scene he is in.
  13. High school kids can spend $80 on two books? Why I remember when my allowance was...

  15. As a teacher, you should probably re-read the TPBs first. I'm not sure some of it may meet with approval from your School Board or community.
  16. I'm interested in not long-term storage but how to best display a book for SHORT-TERM storage and for resale. A problem at conventions is pulling a book in and out of its bag repeatedly for potential buyers to look at. This may be a good idea for high value books but for books less than $100, it's frequently not necessary. If you can clearly see the back cover through Lexan, but have the rigidity of a fullback (which is only 42 mil vs the 60 mil we're talking about with Lexan), that would potentially be a good way to display and protect rack books.
